- Great smartphone back in 2014
This was a great little smartphone 10 years ago but nowadays it is very outdated and slow. Amazingly Apple is still sending out updates for it. It currently functions as my alarm clock and the device for Apple TV when can afford it. The battery runs terrible. If I unplug it from the wall it immediately discharges nearly 20% Only use this phone for an emergency if you really have to. It is no good as a phone in 2024. The hardware alone is just too old and outdated.
Pros- Works good as an alarm clock

- Battery runs like crap

View answers - A Great Phone, But A Disappointing Battery.
I owned the iPhone 6s for about a year, between 2018-2019, and it was a good phone at the time. But, there was one factor the iPhone 6s had that ruined the experience for me, and that was the absolutely tiny 1800 mAh battery packed inside of the phone. Everyday, I would wake up, and the iPhone 6s would be at 100%, because I charged it overnight, so then I would eat some breakfast and go to school, and usually, when I arrive at school, my battery is already at 80%, and I barely would even use the device (maybe about 10 minutes of S.O.T. by this point). And then once I start using it for taking pictures of notes, or maybe watching a video or two on YouTube, by about 12PM the battery would already be at 40%. And then by the end of school, I would barely, just barely be able to make a call for my parent to pick me up, then it would die. I don't want to trash this phone anymore, because there are some great things like the performance and camera, but the battery ruined the experience.
Pros- Good Performance With Apple A9 Chip
- Good Software
- Good Enough Camera (In Daylight)
- Pretty Nice Design
Cons- Terrible Battery That Can't Last Half A Day
- Camera Performs Terribly At Night
- The Screen Is Pretty Mediocre In 2021 Standards
- The Aluminum Design Scuffs
- Speaker Is Disappointing

Score
- 5.9 Design & Materials
- 5.3 Performance & Hardware
- 5.6 Camera
- 7.2 Connectivity
- 4.9 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
