  • Complete junk.

Junk. Second one after an insurance exchange. Selectively stops sending emails, texts and other functions. Every update, Apple screws it up even more. Searches endlessly for contacts and does not allow you to email or text them because it never finds them. Must reboot 3-5 times per day to maintain basic functions. Awkward to reboot, at least for someone who is older.

  • Nice phone, nothing special apart from the price

Got the phone as a work-phone and after a few weeks i started to use it also as a private device because I don't like to carry 2 phones with me. The XR is dual-sim, but unfortunately there is only place for 1 physical sim. The second has to be an e-sim. Because my private mobile provider did not have e-sims and my employer didn't want to switch the sim I now forward my phone-calls to my work-number. Not so nice.
Now, a few month later I am used to the Apple, however it looks in fact still an Android phone with all the Android apps in the homescreen and the Apple-apps hidden...
The phone is quite big (even bigger with the otterbox case i use) but not too big for daily use. The screen is not better than the €150 Xiaomi's I was used to. Al the apps I use work quick and fluent, so no complaints about performance.
The best positive surprice was the camera-quality. Sharp, bright, nice!
The battery is at 70% after a normal day. When I use it for videoconferencing it is draining very fast.

    Pros
    • camera's
    • security updates

    Cons

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
