- Good workhorse for 2017 but ageing entering 2020
Bought it in 2017 on ebay for 210 USD and in two years it definitely paid off. It is my first Blackberry, acquired it for physical QWERTY keyboard, which is good but not so good as were keys on 2000s phones. Best part of this phone are Blackberry apps integrated into Android, especially Blackberry Inbox which is a marvel: phone is very manageable and convenient, I can seamlessly work with every kind of info. Also this phone has IPS screen which does not burn my eyes as an early AMOLED on my previous phone, audio jack, all kind of sensors, battery which used to be great but slightly degraded to good. Entering 2020 phone still works very well. I am thinking on upgrading it but there is no clear favourite: there are no current compact 'flagship' phones with IPS screen, audio jack, better RAM and processor: maybe I would settle on Key2 or whatever new phone Blackberry would make if any. It is definitely a niche phone which I can recommend.

Score
- 4.5 Design & Materials
- 4.7 Performance & Hardware
- 5.9 Camera
- 7.0 Connectivity
- 4.9 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
