View answers - One of the better 'rugged' budget smartphones.
I didn't have high expectations for this phone given the price and some of the specifications, but it has turned out to be a bit of a surprise packet. I originally purchased it for a 1st phone for my Granddaughter but since using it I have purchased a second one for myself. To me it does most of the things I use a phone for well. Phone reception, speaker & microphone are all good, the camera is actually quite pleasing at this price point and I am happy with the image quality. I use the Strava app for cycling & hiking and for the most part the gps plot is quite accurate. The display is certainly clear & bright enough in most circumstances, but not so great in bright sunshine. Probably it's major strength is its 'ruggedness' (it can take a beating!) and the fact it is waterproof. With that in mind I think it is a good phone for kids.

Score
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
