It is an excellent mobile in terms of hardware but it falls very short in software.
First, the design is beautiful and feels premium in the hand, the screen is very good, very good viewing angles, good colors, I would have liked 120hz instead of 90hz but it is better than 60.
It feels fluid, and in demanding games it works well in anyone, the cpu is powerful as well as the graphics.
The camera is almost perfect, you take excellent daytime photos with impressive detail, the angle is very good and the video too, even against the light, the selfie is good too.
The connectivity has everything that today is premium so it goes without problems.
The battery lasts a full day and plenty, charging is super fast, and wireless is surprisingly fast.
Conclusions: If only I had GMS it would be a very good alternative but for now it is complicated.Pros- Camera

The best smartphone that I tested, just after the Note 20 ultra Snap865 +, if the Huawei had the GMS I would have placed it in front of the Samsung, but unfortunately since EMUI 11 we can no longer install the Playstore at all, we must content with Gspace and some apps and games don't work with it. It's very hard for Huawei since the American sanctions, I'm afraid they won't survive very long, because even with the new Harmony OS the GMS will still be absent. It's a shame because put that aside the Mate 40 Pro comes close to flawlessness, it is of course the photos part that is the most impressive.

Score
- 8.6 Design & Materials
- 8.4 Performance & Hardware
- 9.1 Camera
- 8.1 Connectivity
- 6.6 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
