- Bad experience with a Lenovo product
I have it since Apr 2019, original global rom (Euro), Lenovo provides no service, support outside China. Any problem, software or hardware, Lenovo isn't going to help in anyway, No OTA updates, as the seller claimed - android security patch is still Jan 2019, 1.5 years, Not even critical security updates.
Lenovo Motorola support people ignored my request, said even if it is Global ROM, that is not meant to be used outside China. Go to the seller and complain there.
The preinstalled Lenovo Help app, doesn't recognise the device too, throws unknown error on entering product details.
I couldn't register it as a valid Lenovo product - no Lenovo website recognised my device from its IMEI or serial number, contrary to what the product documentation states.
I asked the seller, and he knows nothing, just offers 1 year warranty, says send screenshot, and says send video for everything, and keeps quiet.
Stay away unless you can fix yourself.Positives
- Average camera, screen, good looks and features.
- detailed in my comnent
- Lenovo Z5s is very reliable the battery last about 15-14 hrs on regular use w/o gaming
design wise this one is a keeper and if you know how to install custom rom it will be much better like the one im using right nowPositives
- fast charging
- zui11 cn software update
- software zui10 out of the box
- no real global rom
- AutoA good device, but you need to change your ROM
I had this device for a short time, because there was a very good exchange opportunity on it, but the little time I stayed I liked the device mainly from the battery, good cameras, but the system that comes on it is terrible, the ZUI is very bad to use , not to mention that it never has an update, the device only pays off to use with custom rom, despite not having a lot of pro expense, but with original rom I repeat it is very bad. The battery gets to make almost 9 hours of screen with the PE rom. The screen is very good, very vivid colors. Finally I do not buy lenovo device again because the brand support is very badPositives
- Beautiful design
- Battery 9h screen
- Good cameras
- Loud speaker
- Cost X Benefit
- Snapdragon 710
- Fingerprint failure
- Weak flash that is useless
- ROMS support
- Easy stripe screen
- Official update does not exist
- AutoGreat Cell, with bad system
It is a premium intermediate smartphone with the best value I found at the time, I bought it through Aliexpress and paid a total of R $ 723 (with shipping and import tax). What I thought was terrible, and I found several people who also have a problem, is the Android that comes with it. I advise you to join the Telegram group "Lenovo Z5s BR (https://t.me/lenovoz5sbr)" to change your Android to a customized one, as the original gives a lot of headaches. His camera and battery are great. It has a very good screen, and the processing doesn’t let it go. I recommend the device, but change the system. PS: I use the Custom Rom Corvus, and it improved my use a lot, and the GCam gave a good improvement in the photos.Positives
- Battery life
- Operational system
- AutoIt's a good phone
It is a good phone but does not receive updates and the default camera application sometimes goes wrong but when installing the GCam it goes better and improves a lot in quality, in device performance it goes very well I can run demanding games at good quality and fluid not all with maximum quality but cost-benefit ratio is finePositives
- Customization layer
- System applications
- AutoVery good device, but only good with custom rom
Device with Zui I did not like, at least for Brazil is bad. I installed the Pixel Experience 10 rom and the phone became another excellent screen Colors, cameras are good for the price, but with Gcam But for me its strong point that surprised me was the battery, with the Pixel Experience I made almost 10 hours of screen I recommend the device, entered the list of one of the best I had, but I emphasize once again that it is only good with custom rom, for those who do not know or do not like to change rom, it does not pay.Positives
- Frontal camera
- AutoExcellent device and at a very good price
The screen has gorilla glass on both sides but they almost do not specify that, I am not one of those who use the cell phone with a case, and even after 3 months of use it does not have a scratch or blow, the stock camera is fine but not highly optimized, using the Urnyx05 Gcam you can use all the sensors, the main one and the x2 zoom which, having good sensors if you get the most out of them and the difference is very radical, improve the quality by 200%. only from photos but also from videos and sefiel, the operating system feels fluid, with the SnD710 and the 6gb of ram I have had no problems in any game, the screen is compatible with HDR10 and has very good quality, enough to be around on top of LCD screens of other brands such as xiaomi and huawei in the same range, it also has stereo audio, the only thing to consider is if you use the phone a lot, the 3300mah battery will give you 6h of intense use, without a doubt I would put it a rating of 9Positives

- 6.9 Design & Materials
- 7.3 Performance & Hardware
- 6.6 Camera
- 6.7 Connectivity
- 5.4 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
