  • First, last and only good LG phone

I bought it secondhand (Sep '15) for really cheap about $70 (just phone) and used it for about an year. I really liked it until the biggest problem arrived but I'll get to that at the final moment. The volume keys and power button are smartly placed at the back and is convenient to reach. Taking a selfie with this feels good. Anyways, it's REALLY snappy, as it is powered by the Snapdragon 800, faster than iPhone 5S and Galaxy S4. The display is really good, a tad saturated but the sunlight legibility is poor. Photos taken with this camera is amazing, coupled with OIS, it's sharp, gives good colours and low-light samples are still decent. Videos are stable and great. The phone also supports 4K video recording with a mod. After the Lollipop update, the UX design changed drastically. It really looks neat but then I realised battery life took a toll. 16GB can be quite struggling to live with. No microSD card slot too. I stopped using it when the touch dead zone appeared.

    Pros
    • Snappy, smooth
    • Good, sharp display
    • Compact, high screen-to-body ratio
    • Great camera
    • Presence of IR blaster
    Cons
    • Mediocre battery life after Lollipop update
    • No microSD card slot (for international)
    • Battery not removable (for international)

I got it around 2013/14 it it was good at that time, but soon it started getting slow as more demanding apps were being common.

    A very beautiful monster...
Overall its very good... Except no expandable memory slots.
I bought this the same date and works to be my backup device from xperia Z LTE...but, it turns out to be the best thing i ever had... (I didn't need second or backup devices since G2)...Too damn competitive up to 2015...

  • A bad smartphone, but still better than most mid-range smartphones

The material used to build this phone was one of the worst i`ve ever seen. The speakers are terribly low, I almost can't hear anything even in a closed and very quietly place. If you want to find a place in a big city, forget using Google Maps in this phone. The GPS is useless.

The optical stabilization is very good, also it is the camera in good conditions.

Ki Cost-effective

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
