- The gold standard for commoditized mobiles.
This was the best commodity mass produced handset in history in my view. Cheap, trustworthy and decent hardware (except battery which is easily replaced). A huge aftermarket, ROM scene and open source scene exists into 2021 due to this architecture. With mobile Linux ports (KDE, UBPorts, postmarket etc) there will be open mobile development and hardware going forward.
Have a box full of Nexus phones that still get use or dev time, don't ever toss a Nexus 5 unless tossing it on to eBay for the next dev.Pros- Open source support

View answers - A great phone even for today, it runs all the apps with ease, just don't use it for heavy multitasking, it will start to struggle.
Nice phone, small, comfortable in hand, nice screen to body ratio, it has a pretty good camera with OIS
The front camera is pretty bad....
If this phone had 3 gb of RAM, a 3000 mAh battery and a micro sd card alot, it would probably still be one of the best phones!Pros- OIS

Score
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
