- Excellent notchless smartphone
Kudos to Meizu for staying loyal to notchless design. Upgrading from Meizu x8 which I bought 8 months ago. They have similar 710 processor but somehow 16x just feels faster and more responsive in every aspect.
The main reason for upgrading is the constant failure of Meizu x8 to lock satellite for navigation and other purposes.
Surprisingly the battery on 16x last longer than x8 even though the capacity is slightly lower 3100 vs 3200 mAh. And charge faster too.
The overall camera image quality is not significantly better than x8 but x2 and x3 zoom definitely looks better, more details than x8. Even macro shot is better because focusing distance is closer on 16x. Video stabilization now available with OIS.Pros- Back camera

My favorite smartphone i owned, it has everything i ever wanted and for under 300$ too. I like metal instead of glass, fingerprints arent so visible, not slippery, and its much more resistant. Slim and light, nice symetrical front with tiny bezels and no impractical notch, comfortable one hand use. Screen is gorgeus, up to 800lx bright, perfect blacks, punchy colors. Performance is excelent, everything runs smooth, all games on highest settings. Audio is nice, super loud and clear speaker, headphone jack. Camera at first was a letdown but after playing with gcam it shoots nice photos with lots of detail and realistic colors in all lightning conditions. 3x zoom is pretty useful. Haptic engine is a nice adition. Battery life is surprisingly good, always 7+ hours screen on time. Flyme OS can be annoying but its fluid and no major bugs encountered. In-screen fingerprint is my biggest complaint, its cool and comfortable but can sometimes not work at all in non perfect conditions. 9-/10
Pros- Super AMOLED, slim bezels, no notch, perfect size
- Excelent performance at all times
- Good cameras with OIS and optical zoom
- Battery life is surprisingly good, fast charging
Cons- In-screen fingerprint, annoying, but still "cool"
- Flyme OS, perfectly usable but could use some work
- No updates so far on global rom, worrying

Meizu 16 is a slim, compact smartphone that fits easily in your pocket and fits comfortably in any hand. Judging by the sensations, the perimeter of the body is made of metal. The side buttons for activating the screen and adjusting the volume are quite tight, so they do not turn on spontaneously. The camera is the best in the most necessary scenarios when it is necessary to shoot a scene in the backlight, or a cat, or insects. The dynamic range is very wide, the inclusion of HDR is immediately noticeable, unlike many other smartphones. I don’t play games, so I can’t evaluate the device’s performance in this regard, but there’s enough speed for everyday work. I never beat or dropped a smartphone, so I can’t evaluate its reliability in this regard either. When using a flash, in which the LEDs are located around the perimeter, the silicone case gives glare that illuminates the frame. The shell is comfortable, but not as much as Xiaomi. Updates rarely come, but are they needed if the device works like a watch ...
Pros- camera is the best
- performance
- side button pressure
- compact size and screen size
- charging is very fast
- shell
Cons- add memory card slot
- add NFC
- on the flash, place the LEDs in the center

The phone is generally pretty, it is solid, the fingerprint sensor under the screen works relatively well, the power can rotate Fortnite but the camera is bad. And also the notification led is zero on the white.

Score
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
