  • Well, the brand adds a serious premium for what you actually get...

I used this phone for two years total before switching to my new C32, and the reason of my switch was because my IMEI eventually failed the Certification. After an update, I forgot which exactly, the phone completely lost it's... well, phoning capabilities, turning into a glorified tablet: the SIM card was not detected, no IMEI and no baseband... A nightmare. That and the need to replace the screen 3 times... Not a great experience for a phone that wasn't even that good. Pretty sluggish around the interface and any attempt at customisation would remind me of the Android 4.0 days with the long startups...

Usable, but for it's price tag, absolutely not recommended.
Features a good camera, however, what you'd expect from a "plaque de cuisson" as we call those cameras in french. The 5000mAh battery allows the phone to last longer than a full day, around a day and a half at "normal" use.

  • Really good for daily usage

Design is not the modest but it is better than vertical line camera. Chipset is really weak but can fit with daily usage. Camera is the best one. Photos will beat s8/s9 camera's photos. But taking videos is not very fun. Zoom is really cool. Less noises in its range. Battery is monster. I think it is 3rd the longest life battery of samsung. Right now 14th on top of all phones. The best phone for 150$. I love it

  • Pretty decent phone, adequate one but theres other one that is blantantly better.

honestly if you really going for a budget build, go for redmi 9 or m3 or something, or buy the a12 nacho, it use exynos 850 which simply better but with one drawback is it only got 4gb of ram. idk sound good for me

    good phone

The truth is that this device, which I have been using for more than a year, has not given me any problems. Yes, it has a bad screen, HD+ (IPS TFT) and a processor that is not very good (Helio P35) but the truth is that removing those 2 things, the rest is notable for its range, since it is an input range , we can not demand much more than what you have, maybe it is a bit expensive, but Samsung offers quality.

    A disappointing phone

This vrd phone has many bad things, TFT screen gives pale colors and weak viewing angles, battery is good but degrades in less than a year, processor is terrible even in daily use, storage fills up fast, RAM can't even hold 3 applications at the same time and so I could extend it but that's enough, the only salvageable thing is the quality of the software and its rear camera that gives decent results, but the front camera is very blurry, in conclusion look for better ones alternatives and ignore this phone

    Moderately good experience

I had a j1ace and I went from that to this A12, my experience has been good for daily use of apps, non-demanding games, audio, etc, for its range it has a good camera and its powerful 5000mah battery, the bad thing is when you demand it much to the processor, its screen (IPS TFT) and its 15w load. As a summary: good phone for people who do not demand so much from the processor and have daily use of networks, photos, jobs, etc. (the basics)

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
