  • Been using this phone for almost 4 years now and the phone is still doing good with daily tasks.

My experience overall is still fine but the phone will get hot if I play games or turning on 4G for a long time. The screen will turn greenish if the phone gets too hot. Not really a recommendation to buy it in 2024 but for those who already own it, I believe they will all agree this phone was worth it.

    Pros
    • Headphone Jack
    • Unique and Clean Design
    • No notch or hole punch

    • Bright sharp screen
    • fingerprint unlocks quickly
    • good speakers and sound quality

    Cons
    • BIXBY button and frequent bixby activation
    • camera autofocus hunting especially in low light
    • no Pro mode for video
    • shutter lag / time to process slow

  • Still recommend in 2022

Super phone, my antutu score was 372993, I love the camera images, the battery takes me 10 hours on heaviest but usage light usage takes to the next day, the screen is super bright using it out doors and under sunlight, speaker is loud and clear even when in a noisy environment, it take 2hrs to get to 100% during charge, games works well on this device, the intelligence scanner is doing a great job, s pen too though the remote on the spen refused to work maybe the spen needs change, mine has android 10, 2.5 ui, exynos dual sim version with 6gb ram and 128hdd. I recommend this phone because it is a future flagship device produced in 2018. Take note, from galaxy note 10 upwards no more audio jack, iris scana, heart rate monitor all this were removed.

    • Best galaxy phone ever in my possibly.

  • It's a very nice and complete phone.

It's a nice and complete phone. No complains on the camera, the screen the hardware performance or anything else. The only weak part of this phone is the battery, but that is normal because it is a 3 year old smartphone and batteries decrease its efficiency over time, so maybe if you change its battery for a new one then this phone would be perfect for you. You won't be missing anything.

  • Using it in 2020 still feels like a solid phone. Personally prefer this over the note 10 plus.

Its age is 2 years old, but it still holds up really well against its competition in the market, especially if bought as second-hand. You can get a flagship-tier quality phone at the price of a mid-tier phone, and that speaks well to argue about getting this phone.

It is still receiving updates to this day, with the latest one being Android 10-based One ui 2.1.

The curved screen is very beautiful, yet fragile. It is prone to damage if not protected by a screen protected (despite having a phone case on).

The pen is a great feature to this phone, it selves as a multi-functional tool to help write, draw, and take pictures with.

This phone is a do-it-all phone, and is a technological powerhouse. Highly recommended.

    Pros
    • Great camera
    • Great battery
    • Still receiving updates (One ui 2.1)
    • Great display (Super AMOLED)
    • Notchless (personal taste)
    • Superb audio quality
    Cons
    • The Exynos SOC may be a little weaker and less efficient
    • One UI takes a little time getting used to
    • One UI 2.1 may be its last major update
    • Side-curved display prone to damage
    • Aging (but still reliable) tech
    • A little of the heavy side (201g)

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
