- Exceptionally tough, but weak at everything else
Non-rugged phones were quickly damaged due to my day-to-day work as an Elevator Mechanic - but this phone stayed strong. Because of the tough IP68 nature of the Ulefone Armor 7E it means that when it did get covered in grease or similar, I could clean it with something strong like degreaser without any worries. I bought this phone because I wanted something I wouldn't have to worry about when working on site - and with this in mind the phone has done what I needed it to do very well.
It is quite powerful, the Helio P90 chipset has provided a smooth experience. The battery is huge which is great. The flash/light is powerful. Many functions performed perfectly such as: Bluetooth, dual sim, GPS, and normal calling.
Recently I changed jobs, and I no longer need a phone this tough - I was considering holding on to it until I was really truly due for an upgrade - but I can't. I'm sick of it, and want to upgrade NOW.
Things that are wrong with the phone:
- Updates. Haven't had any. I'm still on Android 9 (2020 --> 2022).
- The camera(s). Ulefone says its a triple camera system. I don't see how - only one lens works. Furthermore, the quality of images is inferior to a Galaxy S7. Plus the selfie camera doesn't work in 3rd party apps. It works in Ulefone's Camera app, but I like to use OpenCamera (OC); and in OC the image from the selfie cam has a white semi-opaque overlay that makes shots unusable - no other phones I've ever used had this problem. Lastly, videos: the camera insists on auto-focussing every ~2s which basically makes footage unusable for editing into proper sequences; plus its jarring on video calls.
- Rear speaker went funny after ~6 months
- Wireless charging unreliable
- USB-C port super deep, needs special cables
All-in-all I don't really regret buying the phone because it served a purpose. But now that I don't need a rugged phone any more - I'm glad to get rid of it. Next time I need a rugged phone, I won't be looking at Ulefone.Pros- Super tough
- Easy to clean
- Powerful reliable chip, plenty of space and memory
Cons- Camera is abysmal
- Never got any updates
- Annoying USB-C socket very deep

View answers - AutoTo be better, the cover of the USB port was missing to come glued to the housing of the cell phone. Loose caps are easily lost.
I bought it for the great cost-benefit at the time, including in relation to the Armor 7 model. The cell phone's design is elegant without losing its robust appearance. Thinner than most in the category and with satisfactory battery life. The processing is adequate for everyday use, in addition to a good space (128GB) for files. The cameras are typical of a cell phone that does not focus on images, that is, even with the description saying that it has many megapixels, the quality of the photo calls for a manual post production in the editing apps (snapseed, canvas & the like). The two main unfavorable circumstances that I remember are: 1- The metallic case that dents in the corners or scratches when dropped (as strange as it may be, I already anticipated this problem by ordering a case the same day I bought the cell phone); 2- The micro-USB port: deep (10mm tab) and does not allow connection with common cables (unless you sharpen the plastic end of the connector with a knife), comes with two loose covers that easily escape from the port and get lost a lot fast, in addition to creating a gap with the micro-usb pin over time of use, which can generate poor contact when recharging. That's where water got in and ruined the cell phone, after almost two years of use. I will miss it, I would even buy another one like it if the price had dropped, but today there are cell phones with even better and cheaper specifications.
Pros- design
- Resistance
- Thinner than the category average
- 128Gb storage
Cons- Deep micro-USB port, creates slack, has loose cap.
- Slippery metal housing and marks on drops.

In general I think it is a 7 in everything but the best thing is that it lacks nothing in addition to resisting the blows it resists them well. It also has a deeper than normal usb c port and doesn't quite fit perfectly with normal cables, so cut the rubber around it to make it fit better. The cameras are quite regular but with a more "pro" app you can get better performance

First Ulefone terminal that I have, I will certainly repeat. I already liked that the company answered some questions about the Armor 9 without being a user, (Another three of ruguerizados did not). I find it very nice, not very heavy and with an autonomy that has surprised me (I come from a Bv9500). Fluid even today, screen more than correct (It looks good in full sun) and a camera that in good light, complies. (Speaking of roaring). Only point that I do not like, the camera is very exposed. Being a roaring man, it's something I'll never understand. I know that it holds, but also that it will be the first to break.
Pros- Autonomy
Cons- Insufficient camera module protection.

Great cameras, good battery, runs any game, be carefree about sound quality, because I'm a musician and I found the sound loud and with satisfactory quality. He can take blows but unfortunately he is no longer beautiful, for example: he crushed the metal part, and behind it was scratched. Nothing that harms the use but it gets ugly. When I recorded a video from under the water and went to listen to a song it was coming out all weird, but I just had to wait for the water to come out of the speaker that went back to normal. But it was a scare. But since everything can't be perfect, they armored the entire cell phone and forgot to arm the glass of the rear cameras. Other than that for me it’s too good, because I paid a total of R $ 1,600 reais with the tax. I paid R $ 300 in fees. I bought it at Banggood.

Cons- the rear camera glass

Score
- 6.2 Design & Materials
- 5.6 Performance & Hardware
- 6.3 Camera
- 7.5 Connectivity
- 8.3 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
