    The software sucks

Pre-installed programs keep failing. Its own luncer program causes the phone to hang and freeze. There is no lean Android rom. You cannot twrp or root, there is protection.

    Good phone

Aesthetic line taken care of. It has a quality screen with full HD resolution of 5.5 inches which looks great. Its hardware is quality thanks to its MediaTek Helio P20 processor and its 4GB RAM that provide a good balance. Its 64GB internal capacity expandable by microSD. With the double main camera of 13 and 5 MPx you get more than acceptable results unlike your selfie camera which in my opinion is quite poor. The connectivity is quite complete thanks to GPS, its frequency bands for 4G and its WiFi quality. Also, I want to highlight the 4000mAh battery which will allow us a duration of two days. The biggest mistake I see in this UMiDIGI S is its software. It has too many pre-installed applications and its customization layer is important aspects to polish. In my opinion I think they should go back to a simple Google interface with Android almost "Pure" as their previous devices.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
