  • Better phones for the same money.

Phone looks great, very pretty. CPU has started overheating, runs very hot 55c+ on low demanding apps like WhatsApp. Far to expensive for what it is. Buy a phone from a manufacturer that offers better support!

  • Good phone but I wish I would have bought Z2 Pro

Nice phone but the P23 processor is sluggish sometimes. Should have bought Z2 Pro. Battery is great sound is great. Camera quality is pretty good too. I replaced it with S3 Pro which is awesome.

  • this "device" is not a phone!!!

The microphone does not work during calls, which makes the device unusable. Other users have the same problem... https://community.umidigi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=18616&extra=page%3D1. This problem is common in UMIDIGI phones... and the support from UMIDIGI does not exist... no answer what so ever!!! 200 euros for the trash can!!!
I bought the phone in e-fox Spain that also does not recognize the problem... I had to buy another phone!!!

  • Very good specs for an awful ROM and support from UMI

Adding to the disadvantages presented, don’t expect any help from the UMI support. Their only focus is to deliver new phones and forget the ones already on the market. Every software update that it’s supposed to fix some of the bugs, add some more without fixing anything.

After the 3th update (August 2018) the camera don’t focus any photo, and even the videos finish blurred. I had to re-install the July update, formatting my phone so I could take some photos without being blurry.

My advice is: buy something like Pocophone, that is in the same price range, and is way more stable that this one.

    Pros
    • Design
    • Battery life
    • Day use performance
    • Selfie camera acceptable
    Cons
    • Battery heating on charging
    • Poor lowlight performances
    • Micro don't work on Facebook/Skype calls

  • Nice smartphone, but it is too fragile to own one

I bought it in presale, I use it 2months. It got 3 updates already which is good.
Camera quality is comparable to my old xiaomi phone from 2016.
Dual camera doesnt seem to work at all. Bokeh effect is a bad joke.
Intensity of flash is actually weakest from phones i have seen (comparasion as flashlight).
Display is ok in sunny conditions, but it is incredibly fragile! I never seen such a thing! I have 3 separate cracks thru all phone already.
1st happened on top side from ear speaker while sitting to a ratan chair. Phone was in back pocket, in flip case(69kilograms). One happened while i rolled over Z2 on soft mattress! 3rd one just happened somehow.
I carry it like other phones i had before (xiaomi, samsung, google 5,5inch+ screens) and cracks never happened.
New display costs 100€, but im not going to risk cracking it in few weeks after change.
Umidigy brand is dead for me, phone will end next week in drawer as worstest phone investment i made in last 18years.

    Pros

  • a good choice for the price.

a good choice for the price, you have the impression of a much more expensive battery of good it would not be bad that more powerful cameras even manage to capture a photo in total darkness

Ki Cost-effective
Score

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
