  • Great all-rounder

Let's start with camera. The main sensor isn't the best 108 MP one, but it's still 108 MP so it's pretty good. Night time photos are lackluster with stock camera, might update this when I try it with GCam. The macro len is surprisingly good for the budget, you can still see the slight blur of a low end sensor, but it's better than just a novelty.
Performance-wise, this phone definitely gets the job done. The performance/price ratio is definitely lower than the most popular Xiaomi lineups, but it's still great and the phone has other features to make up for that.
I got the blue version and while the colors on pictures looked kinda bland in a Samsung A50-esque way, it was way better in real life. Personally, I'm not a fan of the yellow-ish reflection that small parts of the back gives off under strong lighting at certain angles, but it's not that much of a problem.
Now for the elephant in the room, the screen. It's simply unbelievable. It's an AMOLED panel, and not the "make it as cheap as possible" kind of panel like on the Galaxy A7 2018, so it's naturally great. The anti-glare plus brightness make direct sunlight barely an inconvenience. The viewing angle is around 170-something degrees, basically as much as you'd need unless you, for some reason, need to use your phone perpendicular to your face and can somehow still see the screen. The relatively small bezels with the punched screen look quite nice, and the 120 Hz refresh rate is simply unmatched at the price.
Next up, speakers. I'm kind of an audiophile so I basically use headphones all the time, but when the speakers are needed, they do work well enough. Of course, pure sound quality is not gonna match that of headphones, but it's clearly better than my old phones, and the multiple sets of speaker make sure that you're not muffling all the sound.
Finally, battery. Not much to say here, except that it's pretty big and should last a day or 2 at max brightness, and the quick charging is cool to have.

  • Great mid-range phone; will fulfill all of you needs, although not without complaint

It works very well most of the time. The software is nice and the cameras ain't special. It can run any type of game as of 19/20 (not in the maximum quality, of course). The battery life is good, but it deteriorated quite quickly.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
