  • Good budget phone

Redmi 8A is a good budget phone i like a lot. I had only troubles with the camera but others are good for me. The phone sometimes very laggy because of the RAM.
The power of the hardver almost the same with the Kirin 710 which are very good for this price ratio.

  • For a smartphone of its budget range it delivers a wild range of specs, generally a whole lot of value for your money

My only major con against this mini beast is the lack of a fingerprint reader

DO NOT BUY HERE THEY ARE SOME SCAMMERS. The mobile has not yet reached me nor do I know if it will reach me, I have been waiting for it for more than a week. I have not even received any email advising me. I bought it on this page that took me to the xiaomi spain store (which has not turned out to be the official "Mi"), no one is responsible, and I have been left without a mobile and without my money 133'50 €

The good: it is a good device for moderate use, it has powerful speakers, fluidity when scrolling through the interface and when opening applications. It has good wi-fi connection. It is big and has a good camera if you shoot with enough light, its battery lasts all day with 8-9 screen on and all day with the data activated. The bad: when you have many apps open it closes them without choosing which one, besides that it lags if you have many open, it is wide and heavy, not very practical or comfortable to use, its screen is not good, in full sun it looks low, it has Blue tint, which makes your eyesight more tired if you watch it for a long time, in addition to having few 4g bands, it does not have good coverage in some areas. For example, I am Movistar and it does not catch me in remote areas.

It restarted by itself, turned itself off and now it won't turn on

It may have been bad luck but a week ago it started to restart out of nowhere or shut down. Worried, I restored it to the factory thinking that it must have been an application that caused conflict but shortly after it started again and last night it turned off. The times that I have been paid, I would force it to restart with the 3 buttons for 12 seconds or plug it in and turn it on. Now it doesn't turn on at all, I'm trying to make a return. In summary, I may have had bad luck because it really did not last long and I am careful with cell phones. I was happy but it lasted very little, what bad luck ...

In my case the user experience was ugly ...

Currently I have it to miui 11 android 10 (last update) and if it improves with respect to the fluidity than the previous version (but only a little) I tell you I have it 4 months ago BATTERY: 10 to 11 hours of active screen with a use of social networks in games about 8 hours or a little less SOUND: It is powerful for its low-end price. BRIGHTNESS (IPS): Outdoors it looks good but you will feel that you lack a little more. COVERAGE: In Peru mobile data in Movistar, Claro and Entel will be somewhat bad because band 28 is missing, which means that it does not reach the interior of a "built" house well because if it is a normal tripley in Bitel (internet with low speed) if it works well xq it has all the bands of this and it reaches the interiors of the houses without any problem FLUIDITY: Something was bad, it lagea or bugea a lot x put a number lagea 4/10 bugea like it stays still and without being able to press something or when scrolling (it has constant frame drops) I recommend the 3gb ram

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
