  • Good budget phone

Redmi 8A is a good budget phone i like a lot. I had only troubles with the camera but others are good for me. The phone sometimes very laggy because of the RAM.
The power of the hardver almost the same with the Kirin 710 which are very good for this price ratio.

  • For a smartphone of its budget range it delivers a wild range of specs, generally a whole lot of value for your money

My only major con against this mini beast is the lack of a fingerprint reader

Good phone, good battery, although when I bought it it came with Android 9 and I updated it to Android 10 and then I noticed that the battery lasted less with Android 10, I also do not know if it is waterproof?

It is a low-end mobile shooting medium. With a good processor for its price and fluidity in daily use, more than decent cameras, a beastly battery and a powerful and clear speaker, the most remarkable thing. However, its screen is a very negative point, it leaves you blind after a week of use, an excessive brightness that even lowering to a minimum is reduced apart that it is only HD and the colors are dead.

I'm just saying that I'm doing well

is it really a value for money? I would say that since its price is just what it is worth, its components are good for what it is worth, with respect to Miui 12 well ... it has given me some problems, it is not so full of bugs but in itself it is a good cell phone for what it's worth, and here being frank I like its design xd.

Do not buy the 2 ram and 32gb one, it has a lot of lag and bugs

I just updated it to miui 12 and it is better than miui 11 but it is worse in battery because now it has less lag and has more stability in exchange for less battery but it still has small optimization errors The camera is acceptable at night it is "bad" with the Gcam improves colors and HDR The sound is above average for its price I compared it to the RN7 and the redmi 8A sounds a little louder Its screen is a poor quality IPS because it has bad viewing angles and "450 nits says "But it seems like 400 nits of brightness. The bad thing is that it does not have the 28 band that is very useful in Peru for low coverage in operators of Movistar, Claro and Entel. THIS HAS A DISAPPOINTED ME because I use full data and I have movistar, to Bitel if it works well Miui 12 brought me more stability and fluidity in the system in exchange for the battery I think I am lagging because I have the 2 ram and 32 gb and as it is little ram because I recommend the minimum 3 ram Now I really think because he is better in his coat

    Pros
    • SOUND
    • And nothing more
    Cons

    • There is lag in the apps

    A good phone overall

I would have liked a little more ram but with the one it has, it works fine. I feel that the reception of the wifi signal is not very good but it is acceptable my only problem is that the pre-installed applications cannot be uninstalled. Battery-wise, it's amazing, I play Mobile Legends up to 7 hours a day and I still have + 20% battery left. Miui 11 doesn't plot me much. Edit 1/6/21: received update to miui 12.

    Pros
    • The battery of course
    • It is good for playing, but you don't have to be very demanding
    • The user experience is good
    Cons
    • The ram
    • Many pre-installed apps in my opinion

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
