Looks like it's still a solid phone in 2020. Good for a user that wants excessive tasks to be done in no time. It's quick and responsive, has a loud speaker and the battery usually lasts after a day of usage. Although I got disappointed from the DAC after coming from a 10V Mi A1 which was at the same price-range 2 years ago. Maybe it's just that my headphones are made for amps to be loud enough and have bass. As for the quad camera it looks good but it needs modded gcam which sometimes requires root. Last but not least miui has a wonderful UI but it's bloated with ads, i had to flash xiaomi.eu to fix that.Positives

After 5 weeks of waiting I finally received the Xiaomi redmi note 8 smartphone.
Just like the Redmi note 7 that I used until now, the Redmi note 8 is a Xiaomi 4G smartphone with an impressive value for money.
In terms of performance, the Redmi note 8 smartphone is equipped with a SnapDragon 665.
This SOC is mid-range oriented and allows fluid use of all the applications that can be found in the play store.
Coupled with this SOC, we have the choice of having 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of storage.
Antutu Redmi Note 8: 173991 points
The 6.3 inch screen is great, just a notch like drop on the top of the screen.
The colors, the brightness, the viewing angles .... are clearly under control.
The 4000 mAh autonomy of the Redmi note 8 smartphone is comfortable and can last between one to two days with fairly sustained use of the phone.
The Redmi note 8 camera is really good.Positives

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
