- Sweet value for money.
Easy to recommend phone, albeit it no longer being a relevant one 3 years later. Still serves me well in the present.
Pros- Battery / charging
- Cameras
- Good at remaining cool / avoiding heating up
- Good headphone / earphone audio [via 3.5mm]
- IR blaster
- An impressive LCD panel / perfectly neutral tint

Bought this phone 2 years ago as it was praised as the best phone on a budget. Anyways Chinese stuff on a budget will be Chinese stuff on budget... After 2 years it is starting to lag already from time to time. Sometimes it freezes, not horribly but still. That is irritating. The best thing about this phone is the huge battery. It truly lasts a while but because of that, this phone is on the heavy side and it took me a few weeks to get used to it. Anyways, even though it was cheap and served well for the first two years I don't think I will stay loyal to the Xiaomi brand. You get what you pay for.
Pros- Great batery which lasts
- Decent camera in daylight
Cons- Lags after 2 years
- Poor sound quality
- Selfie camera isnt the best

All in all I think it's really nice. I got it to replace my old Redmi Note 7 that died. It performs well and I like the OS. The only thing is that Xiaomi has a habit of realeasing software that can brick your phone. I'm not going to buy Chinese phones anymore due to thier reliablity issues. Currently I'm going to open it up and try to unbrick it. It was really good while it lasted.
Pros- Good Camera
- Great Price
- NFC
- Huge Battery
- Useable Processor
Cons- 60hz Screen
- Dim Display
- Storage Fills Up Quick
- Prone to Software Issues
- Unfixable Brick Issues

Score
- 6.1 Design & Materials
- 6.1 Performance & Hardware
- 6.6 Camera
- 6.9 Connectivity
- 7.2 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
