The mobile is a beast in hardware but is weighed down by the Android layer that Samsung has modified. Thanks to this Android layer fits the exclusive dimensions of a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S9, but this makes compatibility problems arise with popular applications such as Instagram. My experience with this application has been horrible, it closed twice a day, I had several bugs like zoom delay in the camera, permanent sound of discarded Stories, loss of 20% of the content of each Storie, etc. Things that on an iPhone X, it does not happen, thanks iOS. The main camera is a pass, but the selfies have problems when it comes to see the image fluid. Then there is the theme of super slow motion mode at 960fps, where you can only record 2 seconds approx. and in a range of 5 seconds of clip, it is not like in iPhone that you can record 10 minutes and you already decide later in edition at what moment you want it to be in slow motion.
My only points to highlight in my opinion are the selfie camera and the battery. Selfie camera: Do not be fooled by those 1.2mpx selfie camera, they work really well and well exceed selfies cameras of 5mpx or more, it is amazing how defined it looks, I do not know how Apple does, it seems magic. I thought it could be because of the size of the screen, but when comparing the photos on the computer, the iPhone SE with its 1.2mpx gave a sovereign beating to the 5mpx selfies of the Samsung S6. Battery: The battery has only 1642 mAh, similar to the iPhone 5, but nothing to do. I had the iPhone 5 and it lasted one day with luck. However, this iPhone SE with a fairly intensive use reaches me a day and a half, I can not imagine how long it will last if I used it a little. The battery has a 10 on my part. Edit 6/24/2018: Thanks to iOS 11 the battery now only reaches me a day or less.
For its price, the LG Nexus 5X offers a great performance, with 63,000 points in AnTuTu. It also has a great camera (better photos than with the Apple iPhone 6S or Sony Xperia Z5); Has a large image range, has HDR + and the night-time photos are incredible, it would look like day but for the noise produced by the ISO. However its battery is gone, lasts a whole day with Bluetooth and GPS enabled, thanks to Doze, but once you start playing or watching videos (where Doze is turned off) the battery flies. However, it gets along well since if you get into trouble in an hour and fifteen minutes the mobile performs a full charge. But it does not have Qualcomm Fast Charge, but a quick charge of Google / LG and only load so fast with its official charger, a shame.
The mobile is fairly well balanced, but the selfie camera with 5mpx transmits the same sensations as the first selfie cameras; Motion blur and watercolor quality, that is, horrible. The battery lasts for a sigh, I can barely go out safely thinking that it will not drain the battery. At rest and with WiFi enabled, in one hour consumes between 2% and 3%, and that is not doing anything. The front camera does some great photos, so much so that you want to photograph anything, as it gives a lot of bokeh effect. The screen is of great quality; With intense colors, great lighting and pure blacks. However, the screen is too sensitive to any touch, even a touch.
