I am editing this review after a long time. I still use my dear Pocophone F1. It is now 4 years old and it continues to deliver a lot of power. Honestly, as I keep my things in the best conservation status, I could imagine this phone was bought yesterday, if not for some natural dirty caused by daily usage.
I am very glad with Xiaomi. I expect to buy another Poco in the future, when this one dies. If I could keep it for more two years, it would be perfect.
My wife had a Redmi Note 7 also 4 years old. It still works, but probably the battery swelled and I became dangerous, so I bought a Redmi Note 12 Pro to her, for replacing it. If I replace the old battery, probably it would last for more some years.
It is now 6 months with me and I cannot disagree with the best cost-effective title that it received here in Brazil by some reviewers. It has a powerful Snapdragon 845, liquid cooling system, 6 GB of RAM and good storage (my version is of 64 GB). The camera is very nice, even though the main feature of this phone is hardware power than camera, screen, etc. The selfie sensor is better than the rear sensor, so it is good for those people who prefer to take selfies. As it is very brand new for me, I am not aware of any issues with the phone. The battery is running fine, during more than one day, depending the usage. There are not some cool stuffs from other Xiaomi phones, like infrared (my wife's Redmi Note 7 has it and I like it very much). The screen is good, IPS full HD+. Some may complain that it is not AMOLED, but the phone is cheap for the Snapdragon that it delivers. In short, the phone is amazing, just some non polished aspects for the sake of economy of budget.
When I bought a ZenFone 2 (it was the best option in 2015 for the Brazilian market, as it had price of intermediate with power of a flagship!), it was the best cost-effective of its time. Although it is from 01/2015, I got it in 2016, so now it has 3 years with me at least. After 2 years I had to change the battery, what I do not think is so terrible, since the charger has power charge (some people say it reduces the life expectancy of the battery). The Intel Atom is very powerful and the 4GB of RAM was a real amazing feature for 2015. Unfortunately, many Apps from Play Store were/are bad optimized for the x86 architecture of Atom. Even with its powerful CPU and GPU, the ZenFone 2 had some serious troubles with some games. Currently, I cannot use correctly a bank app because it is no more compatible with x86 devices (what a shame!). I really still love this phone and the minor problems I had to face where the speakers (not working well now) and the display (unsticking 2nd time!).
