It's perfect, everything you need and more in unbeatable value package. Fantastic camera taking super detailed photos, useful ultra wide and less impressive but still nice to have 2x zoom lens. CPU has no problems running anything I throw at it, smooth everyday use and runs all the games on high settings. Fast charging battery that lasts easily two days of normal use. Screen is easy to see in direct sunlight, notch free, and colours pop. Just received MIUI 11 update, everything is smooth and intuitive as ever. For around 300$ this is the best phone on the market.
My favorite smartphone i owned, it has everything i ever wanted and for under 300$ too. I like metal instead of glass, fingerprints arent so visible, not slippery, and its much more resistant. Slim and light, nice symetrical front with tiny bezels and no impractical notch, comfortable one hand use. Screen is gorgeus, up to 800lx bright, perfect blacks, punchy colors. Performance is excelent, everything runs smooth, all games on highest settings. Audio is nice, super loud and clear speaker, headphone jack. Camera at first was a letdown but after playing with gcam it shoots nice photos with lots of detail and realistic colors in all lightning conditions. 3x zoom is pretty useful. Haptic engine is a nice adition. Battery life is surprisingly good, always 7+ hours screen on time. Flyme OS can be annoying but its fluid and no major bugs encountered. In-screen fingerprint is my biggest complaint, its cool and comfortable but can sometimes not work at all in non perfect conditions. 9-/10
I got this one under 150$ and for that low price i got an absolute champion of budget segment. Dont bother with any other phone under 200$, this one is a perfectly balanced package with flawless, lag-free everyday performance good enough for 95% of people, perfectly serviceable cameras, and super nice battery life. Cant really complain about anything in this price range but if i had to nitpick, i would choose the things that obviously helped cut down its price and those are: no USB type C, no NFC, plastic on top and bottom, rather big bezells for 2018 (if those really bother you go for Redmi Note 6 Pro that can be bought pretty much for the same price rn). Go for it if you are on a budget or dont need a flagship experience or just want to save some money - you wont be disapointed.
For under 270$ this is a fantastic device as long as you are not bothered with the deal brakers like huge notch, no NFC, no headphone jack and no expandable storage. Personally i dont care that much but it would be nice to have those useful features. I bought it mainly for AMOLED screen and Snapdragon 710. People with small hands, like me, will apreciate the compact size, easy to use with one hand. Camera is great, daylight shots look beatiful. My biggest complain, and probably the reason i wouldnt recommend this phone that much is the stupid notch. I dont care about notches, as long as they dont brake basic functionality of the phone. And this one does. No notifications on taskbar, and they still didnt fix it with software update so i dont think they will. Awfull. And you cant even really hide it because it makes the screen shorter and looks even worse. This one thing ruins this otherwise fantastic device for me.
Bought it just when it come out. You cant get it anymore and thats great. Because its piece of garbage. No support from manufacturer at all. It gets easily hot, camera is horrible, battery was bad. Was, because now screen is broken, battery is max charged to 14%, original charger is broken, and you get about 14GB of interal partitioned in to 2 segments storage and you cant even move apps to SD card. Before screen was crushed by me, was pretty good and performance was pretty good too. Its resistant to drops, but not if you squezze screen hard. Also, lot of dead pixels on screen and white marks due battery overheating showed after 2-3months. Call quality is bad, easy to lose signal. GPS accuracy is so bad its better to use normal paper map. WiFi is ok, but not great. Notification LED is so bright in night you get easily blinded, like mini flashlight, just like buttons.
I wasnt sure between this one and LeEco Le Max 2, my previous phone being Letv (LeEco) Le One Pro. But after enjoying all products from Xiaomi that i bought before, being convinced by the sleek looking MIUI (I had rough experience with EUI) and positive reviews all around the internet I decided to chose this one, black, global, 3GB RAM/35GB ROM version of Redmi Note 4.
And im positively surprised how good it is in all aspects. Bought it for 150$ and I can say that it was worth every cent (even suming up with the unfortunate taxes). All that good and not that positive stuff below for everyones convinience. Just remember to install Cyanogen Camera for great shots, installed app/software ruins whole potential of this sensor.
For under 200$ is the best deal. Camera is amazing. Screen is beatiful. It feels premium and sturdy, but its also slippery. Very scratch resistand but highly vurnerable to drops. No lags in everyday use and in the most demanding games. Battery is ok, could be better, its charging very fast tho.
I really like this smartphone. Performance is excellent, the screen is beatiful, great wireless connection with everything, camera is very good (OIS !) and the sound... i dont think there is any other smartphone with better speaker and sound when using headphones under 300$ like this one. This phone is perfect for everyday use and if you love listening to music. The only problem is lack of updates (and the fingerprint reader not working since day one), but this model has great support on XDA.
