    I am not convinced

This is my first OnePlus phone. I'm far from convinced until now. Far from being fluid, the device is in fact rather sluggish, even in conditions that are relatively undemanding. One of my other complaints is the fingerprint sensor under the screen which is not very responsive. And, to make matters worse, easy recognition also doesn't work properly even in optimal lighting conditions. It is often difficult even to unlock the device. The design is certainly very correct but nothing very extraordinary. The main advantage is that the device fortunately doesn't have too many pre-installed apps. I must also point out that the updates are still quite regular, which is not negligible. The battery is still not bad, especially since the last update. A purchase that I regret a little given the quality-price ratio.

    Pros
    • Frequent updates
    • Few pre-installed apps
    Cons
    • Negligible overall performance
    • Poor fingerprint sensor

Good buy but could have been better

With a light weight of just 5.5 ounces, and thanks to its rather small dimensions compared to several rivals, its grip is pleasant and space-saving. At first glance, although I haven't pushed it to its limits yet, I would say its Snapdragon 778G paired with 6GB of RAM means it doesn't run out of steam in even fairly demanding tasks. Can't wait to see in a game situation. Which I haven't tried yet. On the connectivity side, the frequency bands they support are certainly quite numerous, but it is on the wifi side that I see some shortcomings. For some reason the device seems to be having stability issues on the routers (work and home) that I have connected to so far. None of my attempts to fix the problem have been successful so far. I will persist in trying to resolve this. I regret the absence of an FM radio. An advantage that several other Xiaomi models have but unfortunately not this one. Worse, the device does not have a 3.5 mm jack for headphones either. Two almost unforgivable omissions. I will not comment on the photos. First, I do not take enough and, moreover, I am not critical enough to comment on the quality of a photo taken on a cell phone. In conclusion, I regret that I switched from my Redmi Note 8 Pro to this device, just in the hope of having updates and a newer device. Especially since my previous phone will still get some support from Xiaomi. All in all, I should have waited a bit longer.

    Pros
    • Clear and crisp screen
    • Good frequency range
    • Lightweight

    A mixed opinion

I had a lot of trouble getting used to the interface. Having had a UMIDIGI before, I found myself this time in front of a very retouched Android and crammed with applications impossible to uninstall. The omnipresence of advertising in various places, in my opinion, is detrimental to the general experience. Fortunately, the performances are very good and even far exceed my expectations. Rarely or almost never is he out of breath, regardless of the type of tasks he has to accomplish. Hence my score. On the other hand, the photos did not particularly impress me, although it has a 64 MP sensor. The macro and wide angle functions are still appreciated, even if I would have liked a better rendering. Let's say that my score reflects performance more overall, rather than this or that in particular. It's still a good buy, but it would be even more if there weren't so many bloatware and advertisements everywhere.

    Pros
    • Performance up to and beyond my expectations
    • Beautiful design
    • Quite honest price for the type of device
    Cons
    • Photos not necessarily impressive
    • Omnipresence of advertisements in many places
    • Several applications that cannot be uninstalled

An excellent price-performance ratio for such a device

For the price paid, I feel I have more than my money. Aside from Google apps and some additions, the system is pretty much blank. No unpleasant 'bloatware' or 'adware'. The 5150 mAh battery is great. I want a full day and I think I would probably do better if I did not spend so much time on my phone. I am not very impressed, however, with the quality of the camera which, with a 48 megapixel sensor, should certainly offer better results. Would I recommend? Without hesitation. If you need a good battery, a device with a lot of RAM, wide screen, no junk, it's a great buy. On the other hand, if your first consideration with your phone is to take pictures, you may be a little disappointed.

    Pros
    • Excellent battery
    • System free of 'bloatware' and 'adware'
    • Excellent value
    Cons
    • Photo sensor 48 mpx yet very ordinary
    • Visibility that leaves something to be desired in full sun

    Excellent value

Difficult to find a device with better value for money these days in import. Although several models have been released since his arrival, both at Umidigi and at the competition, it remains a sensible purchase for anyone who is watching his budget and looking for a good smartphone with good technical specifications.

    Pros
    • Affordable price
    • Beautiful finish for such a cheap model
    • Presence of NFC
    Cons
    • Wifi not always stable
    • Bluetooth sometimes problematic
    • Operating system almost unmodified
