It cost me a little to make this step, but I have absolutely no regret. This is, hands down, by far, absolutely the best phone I've had my hands on. Performance is top-notch (I'm talking iPhone and latest Samsungs competition stuff), battery stamina (though I expect it to drop sooner or later) has been astonishing. For a few matters of life I've found myself out of my ordinary routine of discharge/charge, only to notice under stress that I'd been using the phone constantly, with LTE, for over one week charging it every 48 hours.
In my little experience, this is the best technological gadget I've ever enjoyed, and I'm a happy owner of a MacBook and a quite disappointed user of other Androids for years, now. After you taste Xiaomi's performance at this price, it is really LUDICROUS to ever consider any other brands and the price they ask for specifics often one fourth less valuable than this phone's.
I only had to give up on this phone because the battery rapidly decayed after the first two years of use. Being a Samsung, design is almost neglected, so don't expect a nice phone. Being an "Active" version of the tremendously popular S4, it was hard to find truly adequate accessories. Wifi and GSM connectivity were top-notch. As the "Active" model, it was designed to be resistant to hostile weather and usage conditions. By the time this came out onto the market, Samsung's TouchWiz ROM was horrible both in terms of UI and user-friendliness. When the battery definitively gave up on me, I toyed a little time with several informal ROMs, which gave it a little of life on its own. It was good till it lasted.
