Cubot, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has unveiled its new mid-range rugged smartphone – the Cubot KingKong 7. With its 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and triple camera setup, the KingKong 7 offers a great package for those who want powerful specs without breaking the bank.
Design & Materials
The KingKong 7 is made of a combination of polycarbonate and metal to make it both rugged and stylish. Its 6.36-inch LCD IPS screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2300 (FHD+), giving you great clarity when viewing photos, videos, and games. The phone has a 71.7% usable surface ratio, making it comfortable to use while still having plenty of space for multitasking. As a rugged phone, it also comes with an IP68 certification, making it dust and water resistant.
Hardware
The KingKong 7 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 (MT6771) processor, which provides excellent performance for mid-range devices. It has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, as well as either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, depending on which model you choose. For additional storage, there is support for an external SD card in the slot card tray. AnTuTu (v9) scored an impressive 210000, making it one of the best performing mid-range smartphones currently on the market. There is also a fingerprint side sensor for added security.
Camera
The KingKong 7 boasts an impressive triple camera setup. The main camera is 64.0Mpx with a BSI sensor, while the wide angle lens has 16.0Mpx. There is also a 5.0Mpx macro lens (f/2.4) that’s great for close-up shots. On the front, there is a 32.0Mpx selfie camera, perfect for taking clear, detailed selfies.
Connectivity
When it comes to connectivity, the KingKong 7 has got you covered. It has Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM, and NFC capabilities, so you can easily connect with other devices.

A good ruguerized phone, it has a more than decent processor for the price and it seems quality. The only downside for now is the quality of the cameras, in daylight they are good, but at night they are inferior to the redmi note 10 although superior to a redmi 9
