- The status bar icons; top of display are so tiny you need a magnifying glass to see them (I have Y9 2019, diff name same model)
At first I thought this was a really good fast mid range phone and good value, but after using it for the last 10 days all I do is deal with trying to solve issues everyday. I only receive about half my notifications, the overly intensive Huawei EMUI is the issue.
My bank app won't stay open and keeps signing me out for no reason. The automatic screen brightness setting is practically useless You have to refresh google calendar app to resync it everytime. The GPS won't stay locked on and track your steps properly especially. The Huawei EMUI 8.2 is way too buggy to work with Android 8.1 and I'm constantly having to troubleshoot issues with this phone, what a pains... The camera seems good enough the chip set is quite fast, it's 30-40% cheaper than the Oppo or Vivo competitors but too many UI/OS issues. Too bad, this could have been a great phone with the large 4000 mAh battery, fingerprint and face recognition. At least the phone works and rings and I can make and receive calls...- 5.9

I recommend it, it is a good device within the mid-range, and excellent value for money.
Pros- Its design and power, relatively good, so far.
Cons- The part of the cameras could be improved, it is acceptable but there are other mid-range devices with better cameras.

Report an ErrorScore
- 6.4 Design & Materials
- 6.4 Performance & Hardware
- 6.0 Camera
- 4.6 Connectivity
- 6.3 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
