  A absolute beast of a phone.

  I've had the p30 pro for 5 years up until now, and it has been such a great phone that I've waited so many years to switch.
  
  The features:
  
  The zoom is incredible at all ranges from 1 to 10x. Although it may be a slight gimmick, it zooms up to 50 times (the only thing your probably will take at 50 times is the moon).
  
  Night mode on the phone is insane. It can literally turn darkness into daylight, although with some slight detail loss. It uses 409,000 iso to do that (forgot the exact number).
  
  It has a curved screen, I personally like it as it has a more elegant and luxury feel, making the phone seem smaller than what it actually is. With how big the phones are nowadays the 6.47 inch display is a safe bet.
  
  The selfie. For some people having a realistic selfie camera is a need, but for most Asians like me, like the beautification it provides is top notch. It gives the user a better feel. (provided that you like the lighter skin to that it gives you).
  
  Leica lens. Since it was the last huawei that didn't get affected by the US ban, it still had collaboration with leica and it's team. I don't really care about the collaborations, but you may like leica or the final colors produced by their team.
  
  As mentioned in the above, this phone still has Android as it was unaffected by the US ban. Making it still useful, with android auto and banking apps.
  
  It's a gimmick as the quality is only 720p, but the p30 pro's camera has slow motion up to 960 fps for short period of time.
  
  Has a decent chip even in 2024, can play games at a stable frame rate, just remember to turn on performance mode in battery settings, it makes a huge difference when gaming. (make sure to turn performance mode off after, as the idle drain time is not small).
  
  There's heaps of modes to explore on the p30 pro, for example the keyboard where you can draw your finger along the screen, and it matches up the letters to create your word using AI.

  Pros

  • 1x-5x compares to optical zoom
  • Amazing night photography
  • Occasionally, photo quality is as good as dslr's
  • Has leica colours
  • A pretty good telescope
  • Integrated software is really nice

  Cons

  • Charging is a bit slow in 2024
  • Most of the time the photos come out not detailed.
  • 1080p 30 selfie camera
  • 4k 30 rear cam
  • Glass used is just glass nothing special
  • 4g only
