      • Really good, despite being used by me in harsh conditions

Bought it over two years ago. Managed to crush back glass three times, as well as fingerprint sensor once. Despite that, I still think, that this is a superb phone. Not only in RAM coverage, but also with overall experience - 128 GB is enough, expandable SD card slot is neat stuff (on all phones have it these days, shame), good battery life (although battery is weared after 2+ years and last for less, than 24h now), OK mid-end CPU (nothing too powerful, but more than enough for everyday use), good pack of speakers, 3.5 mm jack (I do not use it, but it is nice to have it).
Camera could be better, if you know how, you might want to enhance it, using some modded ROMs, kernels and other stuff. After some trials with installing stuff via TWRP I've managed to unlock 4K recording as well as 960FPS recording in 720p (phone does not support it by default) - that's a nice add-on, but you gotta be lucky to capture the moment, that you really want, because 960fps recording is only for few lasts seconds of clip (most likely it is due to CPU limitation)
MIUI is buggy in some places (mostly minor bugs), it also cames with some bloatware, than can be removed via adb (and I strongly recommend that). Been using only MIUI 12.5 with Android 11 the entire time, so I do not know about never versions (but I've stumbled across many voices, that it ain't as good, as they say).

For that price, I'm more than happy with this phone and I'll continue to use it for hopefully many more years.

        Pros
        • beautiful colours of body
        • general design of phone
        • 8 GB of RAM
        • 120Hz screen + good speakers
        • lack of lagging and/or freezing
        • some extra hidden options
        Cons
        • poor photo quality at night
        • weak flash
        • glassy back is fragile, even, when it's protected
        • some bloatware to disable
        • 9.2
        • Screen8.5
        • Performance9.0
        • Camera8.0

      • Pretty nice phone with reasonable price and capabilities

Bought it almost 18 months ago (back in July 2021). Good first impresions with size, colours, screen and general responsible time. MIUI is meh in general, but could be easily made to your own, desirable shape, since unlocking and rooting is generally simple here and there are LOTS of possibilities from that point.

First main feature of this phone, which is screen, should be protected with some sort of foil, despite having gorilla glass. Just for the sake of it. After year and a half in dirty, dusty and sometimes wet environment of my building site work, it still looks really sharp and colorful with no visible signs of wear. 120Hz still works well, maximum brightness gives visibility even in summer sun.

Second most known feature is pack of cameras. 108MP mode works well and produce nice photos, although it cannot be matched with more expensive phones like iPhone, Huawei, Pixel. Night photos are only OK (there are lots of room for improvment), camera can record only in 1080p 60 FPS without mods, but if you dig deeper, you could unlock 4K 60 FPS that looks really good and gives zero graphical/decoding bugs. Timelapse mode are nice addition, but 720p is a downsize these days.

General usage gave me no lags from system itself for the whole time. I've got some low response time from launcher apps as well as few downloaded apps freezes, but nothing too serious. Gotta be careful though, because some 3rd party apps somehow triggers MIUI to restart in random moments. Also got camera errors few times, but restarting device manages to get rid of it. 8 GB of ram is really plenty and I did not managed to slow phone because of application usage. CPU itself also works nice, however, I play games really rarely and spend most of my time with phone surfing on internet, so top grade CPU ain't for me.

Be careful though with falling - without proper case it breaks easily, as well as got loose NFC paths inside phone. Battery still holds 30% after whole day with BT on.

        Pros
        • screen with it's refresh rate, colours and visibility
        • beautiful colours of back plates
        • Good camera (only decent in poor light)
        • good battery (over 30% left after entire day)
        • lack of lagging
        • really fast face/finger unlock
        Cons
        • easily destroyable nfc lines inside phone
        • minor MIUI-related bugs
        • fragile glass on the back and on camera
        • 9
        • Screen8.7
        • Performance10
        • Camera7.2
        • Connectivity9.6
        • Battery9.0
      • Really good phone, I liked it and I still do.

Had it for almost year and a half know. Phone is really good, metal body gives some confidence, but it still requires a proper rubber case and some plastic on the front screen. Applications preinstalled were OK, I've uninstalled all of them with ease, even without root.
Camera is OK, quality in night might be better, but flash is strong and in proper white colour (red-eyes reduction also offers yellow flash). Grain in photos is visible when photos are taken without flash. Of course, when the light is bad or missing, photos will also be grainy.
Screen quality was very good at the beginning, with time quality dropped, but I do admit that phone was used in bad conditions. Max available bright nowadays is crappy, but when the phone is treated better, than I'm doing it, should be better.
Summary - I've bought it as my second Xiaomi product, used it hard, but I'm satisfied, now have few more Xiaomi stuff, and all of them works fine.

        Pros
        • Metal body
        • Ok camera
        • Nice miui without bloatware
        • Easy root
        • Ota to miui 9.5 from 8.0 I think
        • Good battery at the begining (wears with time)
        Cons
        • Max brightness
        • Body should be tougher (might bend)
        • No android 9 from Ota
        • 9.5
        • Screen8.2
        • Performance9.3
        • Camera8.7
        • Connectivity9.0
        • Battery7.0
