Xiaomi Unveils Redmi Note 11 Pro-5G and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ Flagship Phones

Xiaomi has recently unveiled two new phones to their Redmi Note 11 lineup, the Pro 5G and the Pro+, promising improved performance, vibrant screens, and powerful camera arrays. Both of these mid-range phones are set to be released in October of 2021 and offer a host of features and improvements over previous models.

Design & Materials: The Pro 5G is fitted with a 6.67 inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 cd/m2. It also has a 4500000:1 contrast ratio and HDR10 support. It is constructed from glass and polycarbonate with a Gorilla Glass 5 finish, and a usable surface of 87.1 percent. For audio it uses a stereo speaker setup with Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos support.

The Pro+ shares similar design elements to the Pro 5G, with 6.67 inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and 85.7 percent usable surface. Additionally, it uses JBL dual stereo speakers for an even better audio experience.

Hardware: The Pro 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 (SM6375) (6nm) processor, while the Pro+ uses the MediaTek Dimensity 920 (6nm). Both offer 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, as well as 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options. The Pro 5G scored 405259 on AnTuTu v9, while the Pro+ scored 474597. Both phones include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

Camera: The Pro 5G is fitted with a triple-camera array featuring a 108MP Samsung S5KHM2 standard lens with f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP Sony IMX355 wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M1 macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. It also has a 16MP Omnivision OV16A1Q selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture, 6P lens, and ultra wide-angle 118 degree perspective.

Meanwhile, the Pro+ has a similar triple camera array, featuring a 108MP Samsung S5KHM2 standard lens with f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP Sony IMX355 wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. It also has a 16MP Sony IMX471 Exmor RS selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture and 120 degree ultra wide angle lens. Both phones include 4K video support.

Connectivity: Both phones offer Bluetooth 5.2, dual SIM, NFC, audio jack, and infrared port. The Pro 5G supports WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and GPS (L1+L5) while the Pro+ has external storage with MicroSD in slot card tray.

Battery: The Pro 5G sports a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charge support, while the Pro+ has a 4500mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
