The single thing that bored me was the lick of higher frame rate. And i think this is the every user issue.

    iPhone 14

For a phone that's almost four years old, it's remarkably smooth, and if you put in a new battery, the charge will be sufficient for typical daily use. The camera is good, though not on par with the latest models. Selfies are impeccable.

It's a good phone if you're looking for something for social media, everyday use, scrolling, and photos without spending a fortune. In my opinion, and based on how I use it, battery life isn't its strongest point, but its smooth performance is impressive.

    Good, compact and nice

I've had it for 3 years. If you're comparing phones, I'll make it simple: - Looking for battery life? This one doesn't have it, although it's surprisingly low in milliamps. If you don't use it much, it lasts a day and a half, that's how efficient it is. - Looking for performance? This isn't the best either, but for social media, browsing, watching series, movies, and some games without ultra graphics settings, it will run very, very well. - Looking for a great screen? This one doesn't have it either; its 60Hz leaves much to be desired. Although you get used to it after a while. The screen looks great, though, no complaints there. - Looking for cameras? This one has something, but don't expect anything professional. Yes, the camera is good, but not top-tier. Newer generations are much better in this area, and in Android, the Xiaomi 15 is almost on par (just so you have a reference point). - Looking for sound? This is the phone for you. Honestly, it sounds great, with really powerful bass. It's not quite like a JBL Go, but it has good sound. Stereo speakers plus Dolby and Apple Music (with and without headphones) sound fantastic. Apple is always the best in this area. The Wi-Fi occasionally glitches, sometimes the Bluetooth, and with iOS 26 some animations are a bit slow (you can already see the planned obsolescence). But it's a fast phone, it performs well in almost every aspect, it's quite attractive, it feels premium, although it's not as comfortable as later generations. If you want a phone for everyday use, higher quality than a mid-range/high-end Android (though not more powerful), compact, with good sound and good photos, this is the phone for you.

It's an iPhone 13 with cinema mode xD

Everything's fine; it wasn't an expensive iPhone when I bought it (when the newest model was the 15). What bothers me, though, is that it has some really strange bugs, like the call and message volume dropping to the minimum at any moment, it disconnects from Wi-Fi very rarely, the battery barely lasts until the end of the day when I need to charge it, and the camera is just okay, but the iPhone 15 blows it out of the water. However, it was my first iPhone, so I can't be too critical. I don't remember when I wrote this review, but I don't use this phone anymore, and honestly, you can't expect much from a base iPhone younger than the 15. It's not a bad iPhone, not by a long shot, but it's an iPhone 13 that's more expensive than it will be in 2026, and after that, it's not worth it except for browsing social media or uploading basic photos and videos.

    An overpriced cell phone

The most recommended iPhone is actually terrible. It's a three-year-old phone that no longer receives updates, and its estimated lifespan is only about two years or so. It can't even run at 60fps, a serious limitation, and its processor can barely manage a smooth 20fps. Besides that, it frequently overheats and has an outdated operating system.

Confusing the iPhone generation is the user's mistake

They may have the same screen, I don't deny that, the same battery may be, but there are similarities that make the difference. In the cameras, they may have the same design, both front and rear; what changes is the generation of the camera sensor, which comes from the iPhone 13 with a SONY IMX 603 sensor and the iPhone 14 with an IMX 703. There is a clear difference in the main camera.

    Excellent value for money

The iPhone 14 is an excellent device, with extraordinary cameras day and night, and a battery that lasts a full day (depending on battery health; in my case, it's at 99% and lasts me 6-7 hours perfectly, easily making it through the day with 23% to spare). The screen, despite having a 60Hz refresh rate, looks smooth with iOS 26.3(b). The performance is very good despite its age; if you're a demanding gamer, it will run games perfectly. The only thing that could be improved is the charging speed, which is 20W, which is fine, but more watts would be perfect. For €310 on Wallapop from the seller (Merkia), it arrived in just 3 days. If you want a device for 2026, this one is recommended. I know the 13 is basically the same, but at the price I found it for, it was even cheaper. I hope this review has helped you choose yours. Next device. Have a good day.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
