  • Battery life fine, no overheating, 2024 used bargain

Just bought a P6 used on eBay to test for myself what all the complaints I keep reading on Reddit are all about.

Here's my experience, so far, in first few days:

    Pros
    • Screen density
    • Picture quality day/low light
    • Fast smooth UI speed , even at 60hz
    • Stupidly cheap in early 24- not worth new price
    • 2.75 years update/support rem
    • No overheating/WiFi etc I've read about
    Cons
    • Tad heavy
    • Very slow charging 14-81% 55m with 30w PD charger
    • No sd card/expan mem support
    • Screen in bright sun
    • Aweful FPS/no face unlock

  • Good phone come with shit CPU

Honestly if google didn't make the CPU using Samsung foundry this phone will run great for sure.

Because of this I can't recommend this phone for people.

First the performance it just run like a low end device not even mid end.
You know it always run warm even with browsing social media. (Don't tell me to factory reset since I'm always changing different custom rom and stock rom it just run the same way)
Don't even ask if this can run game.
It's basically a big no no, even mid end device run better than this piece of junk.

The good things I had for this phone is the camera well you know google always make the best photo just a shit video that because google always use ai to make those photo better but they can't use ai for the video.

Honestly I like the design tho it's does look different with other brand phone. It's look unique which is I like.

Another things that battery damn it's really bad, barely hold 6-8 hours also slow charging idk why google choose to do this
I meant they literally can release 40w+ fast charging when this phone release right other phone already run 67w+ and more but they won't do this. I think they just want to follow Apple ways. Really bad for consumers.

Oh I forgot to mention those ai features like screen calling and now playing kinda miss those feature when I use other phone Which make me want to go back to pixel but the CPU make me hate it and slow charging? Just why google why?

  • So many bugs. I do not recommend at any cost.

Apart from theperformanc and camera, This was one of the worst phone I had. Bugs/ issue aal over the place. Network's weak and drops every now and then. Wificoverage is trash and super inadequate. Fingerprint is the slowest and unreliable and almost useless. I used the pin instead. The desin is ugly. The software is buggy and unrefined. I was lured by the Youtube reviews, but I was dissatified and utterly disappointed. Stay away.

  • My main complaints are short (12 hr) battery life and inconsistent bluetooth

I want to love the Pixel 6. It has great camera features and picture quality. It has IP68 water resistance and a decent feel. The screen is high quality and vibrant and I've been able to run lots of demanding software well. But I've had bluetooth disconnect from my google wear watch for no reason and it can't connect to a smart lock. All the other Apple, Samsung, and Moto phones in the house connect to the BT lock without any problem. The phone also reset while I was editing a photo. The fingerprint recognition is slow, but I don't mind since it does work consistently. The phone is just more glitchy than I'd expect from Google. I'd be happy if the battery would last from 6am to 10pm. But my experience is 6am to 6pm. So I have a wireless charger where I rest the phone at my desk. This allows me to get through the day.

  • Mixed feelings..

For me personally I think it's a really nice looking phone! The camera experience is great and I didn't use it much in a night time conditions. It's a really slippery phone and on the bulkier side which I didn't expect it when switching from Samsung Galaxy s20. I do prefer more Samsung:( . You need to have a case but then it's really bulky for my palm. That's the only reason why I'm looking to sell it and get the Xiaomi 12. It tends to get hot occasionally which I don't like much and it did restart several times by itself. Maybe coz I'm in the beta program for Android 13. The screen is okay,on pair with Samsung. Sound is fine as well. The charging is on the slower side, again as my Samsung (I'm still using Samsung as a business phone). As mentioned, I have a mixed feelings about this phone, mostly because it's too big for me. My bad not trying it before buying it.

  • The ugliest phone ever

I was watching YouTube reviews and everyone was excited for beautiful this phone is... I thought I am missing something, for me it was ugly. I had a good deal with a contract, so I bought this phone - a big mistake. My old ZTE Axon 10pro is a much better phone. Camera almost the same, screen same, processor is better in pixel, but that is all. Fingerprint unlock sites not work on sun, selfi distorted, night photos are just terrible, the white/green back glass... So ugly that I can not describe. Never again a phone from Google

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
