- Great flagship
The camera is so outstanding, performance is very good for the snap 8+ gen 1. The orange variant with Kunlun glass is basically unbreakable and also beautiful with the vegan leather back.
The only issue in my case is battery life. It is worse than on a 5 year old Mate 30 Pro for some reason. I blame snapdragon or just EMUI optimization for that (they always had Kirin chips), but I still get 5 or 6 hours of screen-on-time, and the charging speed makes up for everythingPros- camera

I really appreciate that Huawei is struggling to stay on the market with their devices, and it amazes me that it keeps itself in the top 5. This Mate 50 Pro is a good device, from almost all points of view. It has a great display, it sounds very loud in any conditions, it works excellently and very softly with any application or activity you do. I am addicted to Google-Services for many reasons, but I don't mind that it doesn't run on this device. All Google applications can be used very easily through the integrated browser, which is very well optimized for this. Overall I am very satisfied with the yield and novelties that this device brings.

I had it about two years ago and I liked it quite a lot back then; it was my favorite Huawei. It wasn't too heavy, the battery was small but well-optimized, the design was good, and the cameras, especially for photography, were quite outstanding. The downside was the lack of Google services, although with the Aurora Store and such, that's pretty much solved. But it doesn't have 5G. Even so, it's a good phone.
Pros- Good cameras
- Good design
- Resistant
- Not too heavy
Cons- The Google thing, although it can be installed
- It does not have 5G

Despite not having native Google services currently with the new version of emui 14, installing these becomes much easier, the camera is crazy, the screen is good, it has a very good fast charge and the only "bad" thing if you can call it that is that the flash is not very powerful but I'm not buying a flashlight so I forgive it.

View answers - AutoExcellent smartphone, with a good camera and smooth system.
I have been using it for over a year. The camera is excellent, the photos are beautiful and clear. In the camera settings there is an Xmage add-on that allows you to adjust the color rendition, you can set more natural colors, or you can make the photo more colorful, it is very convenient that the manufacturer gives you the opportunity to choose, and not like typical "Chinese" ones, when photos are with "nuclear" colors. Video is average, when moving, stabilization works strangely. Autonomy, surprisingly, is good. Very fast charging speed, you can not worry that you have 10% left, put it on charge and while you are getting ready, getting dressed, you already have more than 50%. The EMUI system is very smooth, security patch updates come monthly, at the time of writing the review, 12/26/2024, security patches for December 2024 were installed. When the update to EMUI 14.2 came, the description said that the system became smoother, I thought this was no longer possible, but it became even smoother. Games are handled normally, heating is moderate. I carry the phone without a case, the ergonomics are excellent, the phone is comfortable to hold in the hand. The waterfall screen that everyone usually complains about, I have no complaints: there are no false positives at all, and it is more comfortable to hold such a phone. Of the minuses, I would note the lack of Google services, in more than half of the cases they are not needed, but sometimes it is really inconvenient without them. And those applications that work through Gbox open longer than a regular Android smartphone. They say you can install MicroG and it will supposedly work as usual, I could not, although I seem to understand phones, YouTube and Google Photo began to crash for me, so I started using Gbox again. Synchronization and other things work fine on Gbox. There is also a minus - the price. It loses a lot of value on the secondary market. Now I want to upgrade and can't sell it on the secondary market, in the end I decided to continue using it.

- Charging speed
- System smoothness
- Ergonomics
- Sound
Cons- Lack of Google services
- The value of a smartphone on the secondary market

I bought the Honor 90 two months ago. It reminded me very different Huawei p 40 only that it is a bit bigger. Then I bought the Huawei Pad 11 and what can I say, I was hooked again. I looked for a while and got a brand new model for €600 with 256 GB. The phone works perfectly and I don't think it's a big deal that Google services are missing, except for a few apps that I unfortunately need, which I found elsewhere. The device feels wonderful in the hand and the battery lasts for a day, if not two, depending on how you use it. I hope Huawei doesn't let it get them down and continues to do such good work.

Score
- 7.8 Design & Materials
- 7.5 Performance & Hardware
- 8.6 Camera
- 6.6 Connectivity
- 5.8 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
