- Nubia Z70S Ultra – Stunning Design, Powerful Core, but Weak Software Support
I've been using the Nubia Z70S Ultra for about two months now, and I can honestly say – this phone is an absolute stunner. If we’re talking design, it’s hands-down the best-looking smartphone I’ve ever used. Sleek, premium, and unique – nothing else even comes close in terms of visual appeal.
Build & Design:
The construction is top-tier. It feels solid, refined, and incredibly well-balanced. It's a phone that actually turns heads.
Display:
The screen is bright, with punchy colors and great visibility. Everything feels sharp and vibrant – just how a flagship should be.
Performance:
The phone is fast, smooth, and very responsive in every task – from daily use to more intensive multitasking. No lag, no stutter, just pure speed.
Camera:
The 35mm main camera is absolutely fantastic – sharp, natural, and full of detail. The other lenses are also good, though not quite on the same level. The only real letdown is the selfie camera, which is honestly quite bad – probably one of the weakest points of the phone.
Battery:
Battery life is excellent. Easily lasts a full day with more than enough left for the evening or night.
Software:
Here’s where things start to slide. While the system is stable and usable, the AI optimization often gets in the way instead of helping. Software updates are rare, and the lack of support is very noticeable. It feels like the software is holding back the great hardware.Pros- One of the best smartphone designs ever
- Premium build quality
- Very fast and smooth performance
- Outstanding 35mm main camera
- Great battery life
- Excellent display with vivid colors
Cons- Poor selfie camera
- Lack of software updates and support
- AI optimization makes things worse

I was intending to buy an S24 Ultra but two things happened, the first was that when I went to buy it directly to the store they didn't have it and although I also went to look for it at the operator they said it was already discontinued offering me the S25 but the truth is I don't like that was the second. I searched on Amazon, ML and other stores and it didn't go down to $ 18,000 So I searched for a couple of weeks watching videos and reviews on YouTube and I liked the design and performance of the Z70S Ultra. And yes, I know that the Samsung is better in many ways but I liked the screen 100% since I'm not a fan of selfies so there it had a point in its favor the Z70S. The camera system is on another level which I am exploring and every day it surprises me more. I know that at night it is difficult to take photos but it does it quite well and I do not regret the investment.

Beautiful smartphone. Great screen. Great photos. However, in terms of apps, there are some shortcomings, like the photo gallery, either rely on Google's app or find one on the Play Store that is paid. I had a Magic 5 Pro where the system is super well done, floating windows, resizable icons, a perfect photo gallery. A little disappointed with these shortcomings. Could do better....

Score
- 8.5 Design & Materials
- 8.5 Performance & Hardware
- 8.2 Camera
- 8.5 Connectivity
- 8.2 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
