  • Very smooth OS, good gaming performance, but bad in taking videos

I recommend when not using the phone for a long period of time enable "super power saving mode" for less battery consumption, the battery may be fast but don't really expect a lot from a phone that costs less than $300

    I didn't like it.

The SD680's performance is very limited, the cameras are bad, the battery is so-so, and it's a pretty good-looking phone. However, from the moment I answer a call while playing a game, the phone overheats in about 5 minutes on Roblox in a light game. After that, thermal throttling, which works poorly because it reaches 52°C, activates thermal throttling and deactivates at 51°C. While thermal throttling is on, I'm at 20-30 FPS in a game LITERALLY CALLED "FPS," which is very low for the price (€270).

The OPPO A78 4G is like a car that won't start: For $200, I'd expect a car, not a scooter that runs out of battery.

My experience with the OPPO A78 has been disappointing, especially considering its price tag of 1 million Colombian pesos. Despite its attractive design and pleasant graphical interface, the price-performance ratio is terrible. The camera, while capable of functioning in specific conditions, has many limitations, and the overall performance of the device is slow and frustrating. There are options on the market, such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, that offer better performance and features at a lower price. In short, the OPPO A78 doesn't justify its cost, and there are much more efficient alternatives available. Main negative points: Limited Camera: The OPPO A78's camera is only useful in very specific situations. The front-facing camera settings require meticulous adjustments to obtain acceptable results. Additionally, telephoto performance is poor; images exhibit noticeable brushstrokes, and without post-processing or AI, the results are noisy and unattractive. Detail Detection: Although the camera can capture some details, they aren't enough to make a photo stand out. In bright lighting conditions, exposure balance is problematic, and flare is common. Slow Performance: The phone is noticeably slow overall. The camera, in particular, is a pain; taking a photo requires staying completely still for more than 15 seconds to avoid blur. Recording video is practically impossible, as the device constantly freezes, both in 720p and 1080p.

It's not a cell phone for intensive use, but for a secondary cell phone or a cell phone exclusively for work it's quite good. It doesn't stand out for its good camera. I recommend using the extra HD or night option for better photo quality.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
