I got this phone as a replacement for Poco F1 since it was damaged. I knew that this was kind of a downgrade from Poco F1. For a lower price, I was also considering Redmi Note 10T 5G available as well.
Sacrificed 5G for AMOLED, stereo speakers, fast charging, IP53 and better cameras.
But I am not at all disappointed. The performance is similar to the Poco F1 in day to day use. I don't play games and I guess this phone is not meant for hardcore gaming.
The camera is decent and daylight photos are really nice. Night time photos are noisy and lacks detail.
Front camera is unbelievably good for the price. I read in the gsmarena review that the front cam is Sony IMX471. If so, it is the same sensor from several OnePlus 7/8/9 phones. The rear main cam is OmniVIsion OV64b40, the same sensor used in OnePlus Nord CE 5G.
Battery backup is really good and I rarely charge the phone. The fast charging is also solid.
Cons.
After a week of usage, here are some negatives I felt.
The speaker is not so loud and we have to keep it in full to get decent sound.
There is some software bug that causes the screen to blink at times in grey backgrounds.
The linear haptic feedback engine doesn't work in most apps after an update.
No always on display. Only shown for few seconds.
No inbuilt 60 FPS recording, although it can be done with other apps.
I hope some of these will also be fixed in future updates.
I am waiting for a stable Lineage/ Pixel Experience ROM to show up!Pros- front cam, battery, fast charging, AMOLED
Cons- speakers, software bugs, haptic feedback

View answers - AutoThe phone has worked very well during all the time I've used it; the processor is good, the screen is good, the sound is good, etc.
The processor, although many don't rate it that highly, works perfectly for my daily use without lag, and even handles demanding games very well. The AMOLED screen provides an excellent option for viewing multimedia content, along with its stereo speakers. The operating system is incredible, full of customization options. The battery might not last the entire day, but that's because I push the phone hard with demanding games. However, there are times when I don't play games at all, and the battery lasts me all day.
Pros- Good processor
- Excellent screen
- Good sound
- Good battery
Cons- It's 4G
- Limit Wi-Fi connectivity
- It does not have good resistance against water and dust
- I think the phone is kind of ugly.

View answers- AutoVery good in its time, very bad in 2025
My Experience with the Phone I bought this phone the same year it came out, around 2022. After 3 years of use, it was one of the best in the low-mid range of its time. + Cameras Today, it's very outdated in this regard. The cameras are very poor: photos come out faded and videos are also not very good quality. The only saving grace is its 64 MP mode, which captures images with good detail, but even so, in 2025, it falls far short. Display and Performance For someone demanding or a content creator, this phone is not a good option in 2025. The Helio G96 processor no longer performs well for intensive use: it freezes on some apps and, being an older model, the battery drains quickly (less than 6 hours of battery life). The only positive aspects that remain positive are its AMOLED display, which offers vivid colors, and its size, which is not too large but still comfortable. Who would I recommend it to? Only as a second-hand purchase for someone just starting to use the internet (such as an elderly relative or a child). Design + In my opinion, it's not attractive: it has a huge glass back and the brand name is very prominent, which I find unnecessary and unsightly. - Updates: It no longer receives updates. The last one was Xiaomi HyperOS, which brought some negative changes, such as: The phone takes 3-5 seconds to turn off after pressing the button. The customization layer is very limited. Conclusion: If you're a demanding user and you're looking for a low price, I wouldn't recommend it. However, for basic, occasional use, it could be a budget-friendly option.
Pros- AMOLED screen
- 33W charge
- Comfortable size
Cons- Ugly design
- Cameras
- Slow on social media and more apps
- Pre-installed apps
- Plastic rear part
- Poor quality buttons

View answers - AutoVery good phone for moderate daily use
I used the phone for 3 years, it never let me down. It was my heavy-duty phone for work (Surveying and Civil Engineering), I got it wet, muddy, dropped it many times, and it never died. Obviously, I always had it with a case and a mica finish. I changed it because I wanted another phone. Not because it stopped working. Being Xiaomi's Poco, it was easy for me to install new ROMs with Android 15, and it worked wonderfully. I keep it with great affection, kept in its original packaging with its case that came with it, which I never put on until now that I saved it. The only thing I noticed is that when I traveled, when I went up in altitude the battery would swell, and when I went down to sea level the battery would return to its normal size. Sounds strange but true. In short, for its time, it was the best value-for-money phone, and although its components are already a bit behind, I can guarantee that it's better than some of the current low-end phones...

Score
no Ki
- 6.5 Design & Materials
- 6.1 Performance & Hardware
- 5.9 Camera
- 6.8 Connectivity
- 6.1 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
