- Pretty good phone overall
I bought this phone 6 months ago, during a Black Friday discount for 1350 lei (about $300). It's a nice-looking phone, with a good design. I got the Awesome Blue color (the only version available in the shop during that time). I like the Super AMOLED display, very colorful, very good contrast, and very smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. It feels very responsive. The camera is also good, pretty decent Optical Image Stabilization. 4K video recording on both the main and ultra-wide angle len. I would have liked a telephoto camera, instead of the macro, which I rarely use, but, it is what it is :))
The performance is acceptable, not the fastest, but not the slowest. You can also do a bit of gaming on it. Some games work really well, such as 'Dead by Deadlight Mobile', while some badly optimized games, such as 'Asphalt 9' are pretty laggy. I also found a problem with the touchscreen. When there is low mobile data signal, the touchscreen becomes quite unresponsive. There is nothing to do about it. Just blame the network provider :)) Overall, it's a good mid-range phone, not a top-of-the-line flagship.Pros- Design

The Galaxy a53 5g is a good enough phone for 2025, even that it has a pretty weaker chipset than its predecessors (A52s) and successors (A54,A55,A56). Cameras are pretty decent for this price point, battery life and screen are pretty good as well. The only downside of this phone is the chipset which is a bit outdated.

View answers - A very bad phone at this price I would never buy it again, at this price you can buy a better phone not necessarily from Samsung.
The phone stuttered in normal use, the camera as well as the battery were good. The pluses were definitely those two things, the performance as I mentioned was tragic for the price.

Score
- 6.6 Design & Materials
- 5.9 Performance & Hardware
- 6.5 Camera
- 7.7 Connectivity
- 6.8 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
