- A pleasantly compact and gorgeous build but with overheating issue
The phone overall is a good experience, fancy build with glass front and back (which makes it slippery with no case), its snappy with a clean android experience, plenty of display tunes available for media creators, lots of camera pro options to play around... but all the good ends when is starts to overheat and throttle. Of course to blame is the faulty snapdragon gen 888 and the absence of a passive cooling system.
Overall being a sony phone it really is and gives something different compared to the competition but sadly lacks optimizations.Pros- camera
- design
- sd slot
- 3.5 jack port
- lightweight
Cons- overheating
- slippery
- fragile(glass front and back)

View answers - AutoThe worst phone I've ever owned.
After a year, the fingerprint sensor stopped working. Soon after, the USB-C port also stopped working properly; it only charges intermittently. It doesn't have facial recognition either. The screen cracks with the slightest drop. The photos... very mediocre; any cheap Chinese phone takes better pictures.
Pros- Good performance in apps
- Comfortable and lightweight
- Size
Cons- It does not have facial recognition
- Very bad fingerprint sensor
- USB C is very bad
- Very fragile

I bought it on Aliexpress 5 months ago at a very affordable price. I had no problems at first, but over time I noticed that it gets hot when playing heavy games or when they are in high quality, also when I use the camera for a long time. Although I know that this problem is due to the Snapdragon 888 since all the devices that have it tend to get hot. Otherwise I like that it is a small or compact phone (6.1 inches diagonal screen) although I am aware that at some point the famous green line that is attached to the Xperia 5 line may appear. The cameras are very good although yes, to get the most out of it you will have to learn in a basic way to use its parameters since the basic or automatic mode falls short, but knowing how to use them you will take spectacular photos, yes it suffers a little at night because it does not have a night mode although it is compensated in manual mode. In video it has a very good stabilization and quality, in battery life I have no problems it lasts a day and the sound both from its speakers, cable or Bluetooth is above other brands. In conclusion, it's a good phone if you want to try an Xperia and you don't have the money to buy the latest one, don't use it too much for extended gaming or it will get hot although it can be fixed with a cooler, also if you don't want to worry about a green line appearing on the screen (frequent problem on line 5 although it hasn't happened to me yet), go for its older brother the Sony Xperia 1 III as it doesn't have that problem, it's almost the same price today on Aliexpress.
Pros- Small and compact
- Good battery management despite having 4500mah
- Very good photography and video during the day.
- Exceptional sound whether wired or Bluetooth.
- It has a microSD card and a 3.5mm jack input.
- Very pleasant haptic vibration
Cons- It gets hot when playing a lot or using the camera a lot.
- No night mode.
- Possible issue with green lines on screen.
- Fingerprints easily remain on the back cover.
- Selfie could be improved

The camera and video are great, very professional. The battery is very good. It doesn't have many functions. It gets very hot. It is very comfortable and small. It is a GOOD OPTION if you want it for the camera, multimedia content, with normal use and good battery care habits. BAD OPTION if you are careless, not a joke to play with and if you use it for very heavy things, and if you live in a very hot place.

Cons- Heating

View answers - AutoExcellent device, it hurts overheating in games.
It is very nice, excellent, very premium construction, it does not get in the way or bother the upper and lower frames at all. Nice high resolution photos, I haven't tried it at night or in selfies yet. Good and loud sound. The only bad thing is that it overheats too much only in games and the battery drains super fast in games and the rest of the battery flows normally. (Social media applications and YouTube).
Pros- High quality range (construction materials).

Cons- The fingerprint sensor does not work
- Overheating in games

Score
- 6.9 Design & Materials
- 7.0 Performance & Hardware
- 6.6 Camera
- 8.4 Connectivity
- 5.6 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
