  • Great phone overall, especially considering the price

Attention! It's still a question if this phone will ever get an Android 7/8 update due to MediaTek not providing the drivers/SDK to Umidigi. There is a V1 and a V2 of this phone; V1 > Android 6 and V2 > Android 7.

    Not worth it

Screen and camera quality are sacrificed for a battery that at the end of the day does not end up performing as expected if many applications are used in daily use. Holds small games but not heavy ones. It would be an option if all you want is to call or send messages, as well as use a limited number of applications, but it would not be the best option to choose if you want to use it more harshly.

    DO NOT BUY THIS MOBILE

The phone hangs from the beginning of time. It might only work well during the first month. It does not support powerful applications, and the operating system, suddenly, decides that it has to be restarted because it can not stand. The camera, one of the worst cameras I've seen on a mobile. Even those of the Alcateles of the 90s made better pictures. All moved, no matter how quiet you stay, the photos come out moved and without resolution. The blur camera is NOT REAL. It is a fake camera, it is not used. It costs a lot to find coverage, the 4G does not stop molar. It is extremely fragile, a small blow broke the screen into a thousand pieces at the bottom of the phone, with the protector on ... It had never happened to me before. The only good thing that stands out is the sound, because the phone sounds extremely loud at high volume and that is appreciated. I advise you not to spend € 150 or € 200 buying trinkets like this one.

    Beautiful design, but low performance!

One of the strongest points of this device is its incredible battery of 5000MAH !, in the question of daily use and applications such as social networks and online chats he can handle very well, however he sins a little when the question is heavier applications or games, already that its processor Helio P23 consumes and much of the same, not to mention how much the device heats up, in a half hour of use it gets very heated with some applications. Its performance is not a big news, since its configurations can not charge much of the same, the device itself, I believe, was created with the intention of use focused on uses not so regular, but the price range , it comes out a little salty, since there are other devices with better configurations for the same price and well more optimized for intense uses. One bad aspect, is that you no longer see updates for Umidigi, this really is a point that sins and quite, as I see it. No ge

This smartphone is good for everyday use such as go on the internet, watch video, the game runs pretty well in general but is not compatible with Fortnite and will have a hard time running PUBG Mobile, the battery heats up quickly on the big games. The battery is huge but as the applications are poorly optimized, it consumes more. Updates are non-existent and runs Android 6.0.1, a little old compared to the new smartphone. The photos are good in daylight but totally unusable at night. Selfies are unsatisfactory but passable. The video is pretty good for a classic use (not professional). The screen is pretty good, we do not see the difference with 1080p. The Umidigi s2 is big enough, those looking for a small smartphone, go your way. A silicone shell that will not protect but improves grip because the smartphone is aluminum, so it is very slippery.

    Design, power and battery

I have the model in red, the design is the best, when I just bought it, everyone asked what it was and how much it had cost :) Quite powerful, its screen is HD, which helps the fluidity of the games and the duration of the battery , the difference is not much noticed more than in some YouTube videos, for everything else it looks good. Bright and quite loud audio, useful when you have to do something on the street. Battery gives about a day with rough use (games with 4G and movies), its battery saving mode is perfect, maintains functionality but can easily make the remaining 15% last 6 hours. The bad thing is the cameras, normal photos with good light but with little are very bad, it can be improved with another application but even so they are only good, the second camera is a lie, the bokeh effect is terrible and is made by software.

Ki Cost-effective
Score
Not available
What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
