- Decent smartphone for everyday tasks and stellar in gaming performance.
For $300, this phone offers pretty good value for its hardware. I bought the 8/256 version.
When it comes to vivo, they often suck at making budget and mid-range phones, but not with this one. Daily performance is very good. Scrolling and swiping is such a breeze. No noticeable hiccups.
In my opinion OriginOS > Funtouch OS. Bunch of customization and useful toggles you can add. This software might not appeal to everyone's liking because it looks very similar to iOS. No doubt it's a BEAUTIFUL skin and out of all phones I've used, this is my favorite so far. Shame it's China only (they get the best stuff as always)
Gaming performance is very good. 50FPS in Genshin Impact with highest settings, above 40FPS in CarX Street, stable 60 FPS in Mobile Legends. Yes, it heats up but the performance drop aren't that bad. Sustained performance is great with this phone.
Battery life is good but not great. With 120hz enabled you get around 7 to 8 hours full time SOT (4 to 5 hours with intensive gaming). Still lasts a day in normal usage. Backed up by a 120W charger, only 25 mins for a full charge. Not too shabby.
It's got a good camera. Great daylight photos, great subject separation when taking portraits, night mode looks amazing. Shame it doesn't have an ultrawide camera (they should've just gone for the 8MP one). Videos are great. Stabilization works at up to 4K 30FPS. You could even record at 4K 60FPS, but without stabilization.
Before getting this phone, make sure it supports the network bands in your country. In my country Malaysia, it's got great connection and coverage. Not sure about 5G.
All in all, great mid-range phone from vivo!Pros- Sustained gaming performance
- Decent main camera
- Blazing fast charging
- OriginOS (it's very good!)
- Full Google support even it's China ROM
- Value for money
Cons- Refresh rate bug (sometimes drops to 60hz but not too often)
- No earphone jack (especially at this price)
- No SD slot
- No 0.6x ultrawide camera
- Camera app is sometimes laggy
- It's mostly not available elsewhere.

Score
no Ki
- 7.4 Design & Materials
- 8.0 Performance & Hardware
- 7.6 Camera
- 5.8 Connectivity
- 7.4 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
