The only real reason why I changed it is the battery: it lasted me less than a day for sure! Nice quality photos, expecially with customazed OS. doesn't feel much resistant in hands but with a cover it looks super cool!. Don't use it without screen protector if you have oily hands! hardware quality isn't up to standards. I hated MIUI so much on this model but it's fully customizable thanks to Xda. Anyway a lovely entry level smartphone in 2021

View answers - Great phone for the price very good camera and video quality
I have enjoyed the Mi 9 Global version for 2 years on the ATT network. Best of all to me is the photo and video quality. Yesterday ATT told me it's not compatible with their network when they remove 3G. It seems the phone and IMEI comes up as a 3G phone even though the Mi 9 is a 4G phone. I am very disappointed that I cannot use the phone anymore. I hope Xiaomi will fix their phones so it's compatible with US carriers. It may still work on the T-Mobile network. I used to have T-Mobile, but I have no signal at work, therefore moved to ATT.

very good phone, have it for already 1 year and a half and its pretty decent. In my opinion you can stay with this xiaomi for 4 to 5 years, the only downgrade is the battery in long term.

I'm no big fan of MIUI, so I install an AOSP custom ROM. Since I imported it, I didn't have warranty anyway.

View answers - An exellent device compared to others with same price
Unstable cellular connection, lost connection on SIM card frequenty, very unpleasant exp. Overall performance really good since it has snap 855 and 6gb of ram. The design quite good, having right corner cameras setup so you can hold it like a real camera, but the camera chunk rise so high, even a cover can't cover it. The UI works smooth, although sometimes it's a bit buggy but yeah.. it's Xiaomi specialty, be with it :v

The design is so sleek. The battery is pretty ok since the Snapdragon 855 is a very power-efficient chip to start with. The power usage to performance ratio is so high. The cameras are top notch, though Xiaomi's software for noght mode could be improved. Gcam helps me with that. Video quality, especially the stabilization is the best. You can never be wrong in getting this phone. It's a steal. It's a BEAST!

Score
- 7.8 Design & Materials
- 7.7 Performance & Hardware
- 7.5 Camera
- 7.6 Connectivity
- 4.6 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
