Its just stubid that this phone is made by xiaomi 12nm chip in 2023 wow this chip is not bringing any improvment from the last two generations of the redmi note (s) series i would just buy the 10s because its the same phone but far cheaper 90hz display is not wanted with old weak chip this phone should come atleast with a 6nm mediatek chip or a sd695 or 778g

    Wonder

I've had it since 2023, and it's a fantastic phone. Even though I don't download many games, the ones I have run incredibly well, more than enough, and it's great for casual use. It's a fantastic alternative to budget-friendly phones, and even today it still works as if it were brand new. Of course, the battery life does decrease over the years with prolonged use, and it starts to overheat incredibly, so letting the phone rest after continuous use is best. However, this battery issue is somewhat compensated for by a really good charger, as it charges the phone extremely quickly. The camera isn't the best; sometimes it slows down or captures photos with a "strange" quality—not terrible, but acceptable. That said, with its 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the phone runs very smoothly and handles large amounts of files, photos, and videos. In fact, I haven't even reached half full storage in these almost three years. Honestly, I wouldn't expect anything better than this, not even on an astronomical scale. It's exactly what I needed and required to survive in this new generation of mobile phones, and I still think it's a great option for 2026. If there's a better phone out there, I don't know what else they'd have to add, because this Redmi Note 12s is one of the most complete phones I've ever bought.

I just bought it and it's working perfectly, I feel like I'm in heaven since I just switched from an LG K20 phone.

I bought it used and it's great, it runs games that aren't too demanding well, I'm truly thrilled. The only downside to it being used is that the battery doesn't last very long for a 5000 mAh battery, about 3 to 4 hours from 100 to 0, but after that it's perfect.

    Pros
    • Performance, and that's coming from the MediaTek Helio G96.
    • AMOLED screen (I've never had one)
    • Fingerprint sensor
    • The structure feels good to the touch.

    Average.

The battery is weak; I've been using it for over six months, and it only lasts 5-6 hours on YouTube, at most. Photos are more or less good, but night shooting is poor, and there's no optical image stabilization. I've played various games on it, and it handles low-demand games well, but high-demand games can sometimes freeze. The sound is good, and the screen is too, but it burns out quickly. It also has ample storage.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
