The Fossibot F101 is a surprisingly low-end smartphone from the Fossibot brand, set to be released in March of 2023. Its design blends materials such as Corning Gorilla Glass, polycarbonate, and durable plastic for a rugged, reliable phone. What’s more, the Fossibot F101 features an impressive 51.4% usable surface, offering users plenty of visual real estate to work with.

Inside the Fossibot F101 is its processor – the MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) (12nm) – which is supported by either 4GB or 8GB of RAM. Storage options are also plentiful, with 64GB or 128GB of UFS storage available. Security-wise, the Fossibot F101 features a fingerprint side scanner, while AnTuTu benchmark scores suggest a score of around 92000.

On the back of the phone, there are three cameras – a 24.0Mpx standard camera with f/1.8 aperture and ISOCELL technology, a 5.0Mpx macro lens with f/1.8 aperture, and a 0.3Mpx portrait mode depth lens with f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera is an Omnivision OV8865, 8.0Mpx unit with f/2.0 aperture, and two infrared lights for night vision photography. Furthermore, the Fossibot F101 even comes with Super Flash Light 130 Lumens to help brighten up any shot.

Connectivity-wise, the Fossibot F101 comes with Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM support, as well as NFC for contactless payments. As for battery, the Fossibot F101 has a rather large 10600mAh capacity. It can be charged quickly with the 18.0W fast charge, or via wireless charging.

Overall, the Fossibot F101 provides a surprisingly solid performance given its low-end price range. Its battery life is great, as is its design and dust and water-resistance. However, the camera quality isn’t quite up to par with other phones on the market, and its weight can be a bit of a hindrance at times. But considering its overall performance, the Fossibot F101 is an excellent choice for those looking for a budget-friendly phone that won’t disappoint.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
