    # Huawei Nova 13 Review

    *Design*
The Huawei Nova 13 boasts a sleek and premium design with a 6.7-inch OLED display, weighing in at 195g and measuring 6.98mm thick. Its reflective plaid-textured back panel adds a touch of sophistication. However, I'd say the design is mid-range.

    *Performance*
Powered by the Kirin 8000 chipset and up to 12GB of RAM, the Nova 13 delivers smooth performance for day-to-day tasks and gaming. It's very good for gaming, handling games smoothly.

    *Camera*
The camera performance is hit-or-miss. The camera system features a dual-camera setup, capturing crisp images with natural colors. However, the zoom quality drops significantly at 10x, resulting in bad quality. The lack of AI remove feature is also a drawback, although it does have a face change feature that requires 2 or more pictures to work. Selfies and close-up pictures are gorgeous, though.

    *Battery Life*
The Nova 13 has a dependable 5000mAh battery that lasts an entire day with moderate use. With 100W Huawei SuperCharge, the phone can be charged from 0 to 50% in just 10 minutes, and a full charge takes around 45 minutes.

    *Weight and Portability*
The phone is lightweight, you can use it with one hand.

    *Connectivity and Heat Control*
However, WiFi connectivity can be problematic, and heat control is still mid-range.

    *Additional Features*
The Nova 13 comes with a 120Hz refresh rate display for smooth visuals, adaptive refresh rate for improved performance, dual Beidou satellite messaging support, HarmonyOS 4.2 for a fluid user experience, and EMUI 14.2 for customization options.

    *Areas for Improvement*
No 5G support, limited app compatibility due to lack of Google services.

Overall, the Huawei Nova 13 offers a great balance of style, performance, and camera capabilities, but with some trade-offs. Its strengths in battery life, lightweight design, and gaming performance are balanced by camera limitations and connectivity issues.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
