Introducing the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Samsung’s latest mid-range tablet, is set to be released in October of 2023. It’s part of the Galaxy Tab S9 series, which includes the Galaxy Tab S9, the Galaxy Tab S9+, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE stands out from the pack with its lightweight aluminum alloy body, its impressive AMOLED screen, and its powerful processors.

Design & Materials

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE is made from a lightweight aluminum alloy that offers durability without adding extra weight. The body measures 8.7mm thick and weighs just 477g. The back has a texture to it for better grip, and the front has an 81.3% usable surface area thanks to the slim bezels on the sides and top.

The 10.90-inch AMOLED display packs an impressive 2304x1440 resolution, up to a 90 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ compatibility. The visuals are crisp and vibrant, and the matte finish keeps reflections at bay.

Audio is handled by two stereo speakers that offer surround sound with enhanced clarity and volume. Dolby Atmos technology takes the audio experience to the next level.

Hardware

Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE packs an Exynos 1380 5nm processor, making it capable of running demanding apps and games without any lag. It’s available with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. You can also add up to 1TB of microSD storage for your media and files.

On AnTuTu (v9), the device scores a whopping 507000. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE also features an integrated security system, so you know your data is safe. You can choose between a fingerprint reader on the display or voice recognition as your main security method.

Camera

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE has a 12.0Mpx rear camera with an f/2.0 lens and CMOS imaging system. It has optical image stabilization for sharper images, and it can record 4K video. On the front, there’s an 8.0Mpx selfie camera inside the bezel.

Connectivity & Battery

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE comes with the latest WiFi 6 technology (802.11ax), offering faster speeds and better coverage. It also has Bluetooth 5.3 for easy pairing with compatible devices. The device has a large 8000mAh battery that supports 45.0w of fast charging.

Conclusion

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is an impressive mid-range device. It has a premium design, a vivid display, powerful hardware, and excellent audio quality. It’s perfect for those who want quality without breaking the bank.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
