    Ideal for off-road use

The best features are the night vision and thermal cameras. After the Android 15 update, some screen brightness issues were resolved. Overall, it's a durable, responsive, and comfortable phone, suitable for rugged use, and it's not excessively heavy.

Heavy, functional, but not very comfortable for every day

If you need a night vision camera (good) and a thermal imager (average), and also need shock resistance and underwater shooting, then I recommend it!
For the rest, it is better to look for something more convenient. It is still a bit heavy during normal use. For some reason, it charges VERY slowly on a regular charger (not fast) from other phones (it does not even charge to 100% overnight!). On its own - very quickly. You can charge other phones from this device - this is good. But perhaps because of this function, it is not possible to use wireless lavalier microphones: the phone simply starts charging their receiving unit, but does not receive a radio signal. On other phones, these same lavaliers work perfectly. What is very annoying is that when the lighting around changes, the screen brightness begins to adjust with a big delay (you wait 5 seconds!). You can fit a maximum of 4 icons in a row on the desktop (in my old Xiaomi you could do 5), which means that in the end you only get 24 icons instead of 30 on one desktop. When shooting video, automatic exposure adjustment is a big nuisance: you won't be able to shoot the video you want - even if you manually reduce the exposure to avoid overexposure, after a few seconds or minutes the automatic adjustment kicks in and the picture becomes bright.

    Pros
    • impact resistant
    • good screen (picture quality and brightness)
    • good night vision camera
    • capacious battery
    • fast charging
    • protective glass with oleophobic coating included
    Cons
    • the screen brightness adjusts very slowly
    • heavy games lag
    • lacks wide-angle camera and macro
    • there is not enough space for icons on the screen
    • non-disconnectable automatic exposure adjustment on video

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
