About this comparison

Realme GT 2 & Pro: Two High-End Smartphones With Amazing Specifications

Realme’s latest releases, the realme GT 2 and realme GT 2 Pro, are two highly anticipated high-end smartphones expected to be released in January of 2022. Both phones have earned rave reviews from tech enthusiasts and have seen a wave of firsthand anticipation - and for good reason.

The GT 2 and GT 2 Pro have many similarities, but also some unique features that make them stand out from the crowd. Both phones feature a 6.62-inch and 6.70-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2400 (FHD+) and 1440x3216 (WQHD+), respectively. Both sides boast peak brightness at 1300 cd/m2 and a 5000000:1 contrast ratio, making watching movies or playing games on either phone an immersive experience. For further audio enhancement, both phones come with stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio technology, Dolby Atmos and a noise cancellation microphone.

In addition, the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro feature many hardware differences. Firstly, the GT 2 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 (5nm) processor, whereas the GT 2 Pro runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 (4nm). RAM ranges from 8GB and 12GB (RAM LPDDR5) for both phones, however, the GT 2 Pro can offer up to 512GB of UFS Storage 3.1, while the GT 2 offers 128GB and 256GB. Both phones perform well, however, the GT 2 Pro outperforms the GT 2 with an AnTuTu (v9) score of 965817, as compared to 812869.

When it comes to photography and videography, the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro are equipped with triple cameras. On the GT 2, the primary camera is a 50.0Mpx Sony IMX766 with a CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture. For the wide-angle lens, the GT 2 comes with an 8.0Mpx Omnivision OV08D10 and an f/2.2 aperture, plus a 2.0Mpx Omnivision OV02B10 macro lens with a f/2.4 aperture. The GT 2 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a 50.0Mpx Samsung S5KJN1 ISOCELL lens with a f/2.2 aperture and a 2.0Mpx GalaxyCore GC02M1 macro lens with f/3.0 aperture.

In terms of selfie cameras, the GT 2 includes the Sony IMX471 Exmor RS 16.0Mpx lens with a f/2.5 aperture, while the GT 2 Pro has a slightly more powerful Sony IMX615 32.0Mpx lens with a f/2.4 aperture. Both phones offer Optical Stabilization (OIS), 4K Video, 8K video (only available on the Pro,) a 6P lens and different field of view (FOV) angles for the rear and front camera.

Connectivity options are similar for both phones and include Bluetooth 5.2, dual SIM, NFC, WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and GPS (L1+L5). Battery-wise, the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro both have a 5000mAh capacity, but their fast charge capabilities differ slightly - the GT 2 charges at 65.0W and the GT 2 Pro charges at 70.0W.

In conclusion, Realme’s latest releases are two amazing high-end smartphones that come packed with the latest hardware and software. The GT 2 and GT 2 Pro offer great specs, design and materials, including multiple cameras and impressive audio enhancement. With the release date just around the corner, it’s safe to say that these two phones will be incredibly popular once they hit the market.
