  • Phone is Okay, Software update is meh & sometimes bad (can effect battery), camera is google, not as good the pro model

Not ground breaking. Definitely better than pixel 10 in term of price and main camera performance, the software update is atrocious, update when need and make sure to check forum if there any issues with new update (BATTERY)

performance is meh & heat up like crazy, you buy this phone for Ai feature, make sure to slowly use it. Right now probably the latest/best pixel that every exist in google history (9 series)

if you wanna buy this phone, make sure to check out s25/s26 first how the phone are including price... and research about v gcam

  • The phone okay for those who treat it like a normal phone, nothing more

They phone heats up very fast, the battery is good. But since there is a cooling problem that won’t be long. I can’t say anything negative about the camera, they are really good and compete with iphone pro’s (except 16+)

  • need phone with 4000hz pwm, or ips screen. stop killing our eyes

a good phone with a lousy screen. PWM eats out the eyes. when will they start using normal screens? why not make a limited series with IPS, because if you want a phone with a telephoto lens, then only AMOLED, and if you want your eyes to stay intact, then only Chinese. Pixel, iPhone and Samsung seem to have conspired to put glasses on everyone and give them a headache. returned to the store because of the screen

Great for everyday use, the iPhone of Androids

Despite not having a very powerful processor, it's excellent for everyday use. It's incredibly fast and rarely experiences lag. The operating system is what makes it wonderful, the screen is extremely high-quality and very bright. The fingerprint reader is very fast, but you may have to tap twice. It's fine for light games, but if your goal is gaming, then this isn't the phone for you. The battery is fine and lasts more than a day, but nothing special. Charging is only 27W, which is decent, but could be better. There's nothing to complain about about the cameras. They're good sensors with excellent post-processing that takes very good photos, but clearly not at the level of top-of-the-range phones. Its small size makes it very comfortable for everyday use. It's an excellent phone for those who want the best at a good price and have decided that an iPhone isn't for them. The only real flaw I found is that there's no app cloning feature, a very handy feature for those who, for example, have two phone numbers and want to use two WhatsApp accounts. (It happened to me that it didn't connect to the wifi immediately but it could be a problem with the wifi itself and not with the phone)

I bought the phone for 45,000 rubles in 2026. In principle, the average user would be satisfied.

Pros: 1) Excellent quality of day and night photos (I especially liked the wide-angle mode). 2) Good battery life (8-9 hours of screen time with mixed use). 3) The screen is bright, saturated, and has a true 120 Hz. 4) Video quality has been improved compared to previous models. 5) Significantly less heat (even when charging). Cons: 1) Weak front camera (but they added a wide-angle mode). 2) Still poorly connects to mobile networks. 3) No LTPO matrix. Even competitors have them in their basic lines (especially since for $800 at launch, they could have done so).

Good value for money mobile phone, for a basic user

I'm one of those people who buy a phone and keeps it for a long time, and I usually take a close look at which phone I buy. I came from an Oppo Reno 2 that worked very well for 5 years, and it wasn't the hardware that failed, but rather it became unusable due to a soft brick caused by system corruption from trying to turn it on several times without a dead battery—a real madness that happened with older Oppos... After that, and having already looked at phones on Kimovil for months, I decided on the Google Pixel 9 for its value at €450. One of the main reasons for the purchase was the software, as it's almost pure Android (open-source AOSP) with some Google extras and has 7 years of support from the main company that develops Android. Furthermore, Pixel phones allow you to install custom ROMs like GraphenOS, a more proprietary and secure Android-based operating system. It also allows you to flash and reinstall the OS, so the phone doesn't become unusable due to software issues or outdated. As for Android's interface layer, Pixel UI, it's very minimalist, which is a good thing, but it doesn't allow customization or removing the Google search bar at the bottom and is very tied to Google. However, this can be solved with launchers like Lawnchair.

In addition to the software, the hardware is decent: cameras with good processing, loud speakers, standard microphones, and a respectable screen. It excels primarily in photo quality thanks to the processing and development of Google Pixel phones. However, the Pixel's camera app is basic and very limited for manual use. Its main camera is good under normal conditions, but it lacks powerful zoom, doesn't perform well at night, and struggles with moonlight. Video is okay, but only for basic video recording. The worst issue is the short battery life. Accustomed to almost two days of use with OPPO phones, the Google Pixel 9 lasts me less than a full day with heavy use or barely two days with very little use.

    Pros
    • Photography (wide angle and portrait)
    • Operating System: Minimalist Android
    • Ergonomic and pocket-sized
    • Excellent update support
    Cons
    • Low battery, no fast charging
    • Cameras without a telephoto lens
    • Base UI layer with very limited customization
    • Telemetry in Google apps

    Reliable companion

Great phone, everything works perfectly and updates are constant. The photo and video recordings are very good, quite unlike its successor, the Pixel 10! The battery lasts at least a day, but the charging speed is outdated; Xiaomi, for example, does much better in this regard. I was very pleasantly surprised by the audio quality, both for calls and files – it's truly top-notch! I'm not so keen on the rather protruding camera and the weight of the device.

At its current price, this phone is a great buy. It has a very good camera, runs very smoothly, and has a very good screen. However, the battery life is its weak point.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
