Let me sum it up for you

Kimovil users consider it a very versatile phone and an excellent mid-range or entry-level device. They highlight its beautiful design, ergonomics, fluidity, and good value for money. However, there are concerns about the update policy and overheating during demanding use.

Design & Materials

According to our users, the OLED screen is excellent, with great brightness and 144Hz. The curvature causes issues with screen protectors, and some report a 'green line' after updates.

It feels good in the hand, it's aesthetically pleasing, it's not specialized for gaming, and it lacks a longer update period.

The feel is very good, it has excellent ergonomics, and its curved design has both advantages and disadvantages depending on your usage. Performance-wise, it feels smooth in everyday use, but in demanding games, it tends to overheat and concentrate heat at the top of the device. The cameras feel decent; all of them have autofocus, record at good quality, and I find their stabilization acceptable. However, I don't like that the front camera has beauty mode enabled by default, and I feel the lack of a 2x telephoto lens (that's its biggest shortcoming considering the price range). Another less important drawback for some is that it doesn't support the LDAC codec. Finally, regarding shortcomings, its update period is somewhat short compared to the competition, as it only has two years of guaranteed updates (meaning it will be upgradable to Android 14) and three years of security patches. In conclusion, this discounted phone is an excellent purchase if you like Motorola's gestures, a near-stock Android experience, and a lightweight phone that isn't too large by today's standards.

It no longer receives Android or security updates, compatibility with YouTube and Instagram is very poor, and the screen's curvature causes tempered glass screen protectors to peel off very quickly, forming bubbles.

    A good mid-range

It performs very well in the mid-range market. I'm surprised by its detail (I find it superior to an iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro or Poco F7 in camera and video, just in detail and stabilization; the aforementioned phones win in color). It charges incredibly fast; I can take it out and use it in 40 minutes. It's very comfortable and lightweight, and without a case, it's a dream to hold. It cost me $200. The selfies are amazing. I use it to emulate light Switch games, and it runs perfectly. The experience is excellent, although it's missing some features, but it's top-notch. The only downside is that it got scratched, perhaps my fault, because I also had an iQOO that got scratched, but this one didn't have a screen protector. However, the scratch is minor and not noticeable to the naked eye. Overall, it's still working like new.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
