  • THIS HAS A HEADPHONE JACK!!! (datasheet says it does not)

Coming from the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra the lighter weight was definitely noticeable. The included 120hz OLED screen is pretty usable outdoors and the battery life is insanely good for the price falling just shy if not matching the Galaxy S24 Ultra (haven't tested myself but reviews say so). Responsiveness and performance is about the same as the Note 20 Ultra too and for $399 ($249 on sale) trading the telephoto camera, 2nd SIM tray, & IP68 waterproofing for a 3.5mm headphone jack and rich red look is nothing to complain about.

    Pros
    • 120hz OLED display - 1200-nit peak brightness
    • Not too heavy - 190g
    • Very afforable - 249-399 USD
    • 3.5mm headphone jack
    • Battery lasts 14 hours as a daily driver
    • The stylus pen
    Cons
    • IP52 Splash Resistance
    • No telephoto camera
    • No DeX or similar desktop mode
    • USB-C Port is only USB 2.0
    • Storage is UFS 2.2 instead of 3.x or 4.0

It complies and is different with its Stylus

It's a phone whose main and differentiating attribute is the stylus. With a well-thought-out and attractive design, with a faux leather back cover. The Normal: It has a very good-quality OLED screen, but its Gorilla Glass 3 certification against falls is fragile. The battery is adequate, and its 30-watt fast charging is also good but not remarkable. Its processor and RAM management perform well in everyday use; it feels quite fluid and it's possible to play decently, but it struggles with heavy games. The Good: The camera is very good, and the software's hand is noticeable, accompanied by Google's AI improvements compared to the older software of other Motorola phones with similar hardware. The sound is Dolby Atmos, and we have the option to use a very good 3.5mm jack. The storage is noteworthy, as we have the option to expand it to 1 terabyte. The stylus is used for creative drawings and has a function for performing mathematical operations with the pencil, which is quite usable and interesting. 25-watt wireless charging and reversible charging are features that not all mid-range phones have. The bad thing is the lack of good IP certifications close to IP68 and 69k, which is why we have the 3.5 mm jack and that is why we have to stick with IP52 and the Glass drop certification, which is not really understood, but it remained at Gorilla Glass 3, but it is what it is.

It's a good mid-range phone and for the price it has a nice screen.

The device is not very powerful but it is what is expected for its range and price, the battery is good but it does not last long, it is not very heavy or thick so it is very comfortable in the hand, it takes good photos but at night is where it does not stand out too much and its front camera is not the best but it is very decent apart from the integration of the stylus it gives you a good experience. I recommend it for those people who want something balanced, not very expensive and that contains a stylus, but if what you are looking for is power it is better that you look for another option.

Phone with a little bit of everything

Personally, in my almost 2 weeks of use, I loved it. I play a couple of slightly demanding games and it keeps them at maximum graphics, I have not been able to check a great variety but it does respond well. I usually use the battery for about 3 almost 4 hours straight from the morning and I normally get to 30-40%, when the same model but 2022 I had to charge it approximately 2 times. In photos, I am not a photo person but I loved it because it takes good quality photos. Design, I like that it is light and somewhat minimalist. In terms of system, I feel it is quite good for a Motorola that does not look for top cell phones in some aspects. Also, being an SD 6 GEN 1 I feel that it is quite well optimized in terms of games, applications and daily use. Maybe what I regret is having gotten the 128gb version, if it were 256 or 512 it would be my phone from now on as long as I can handle it, honestly. As an extra, you can have up to 8 extra RAM digitally, you cannot have applications on the microSD and suddenly when it is pushed hard it can get stuck for a few seconds but this has happened in very few cases.

    Pros
    • Your processing
    • Your battery
    • Your cameras
    Cons
    • It gets a little/a lot hot (40° C I think)
    • It has one or another drop in quality if it gets hot.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
