  • Reliable phone if you are looking for a raw performance gaming phone. But be warned of it's cons

The take away is definitely the camera more specifically the selfie cam quality is what you would see from a decade ago but not to the point that is unusable, but the Rear cam is decent. This phone is advertise as a gaming oriented device, Latest SDM 8 Gen 3 with a lot of gaming features such as Shoulder triggers, external peripherals capabilities and much more. There is also no IP rating means you have to be careful not to drop it in the toilet. Overall it is an amazing phone but the target audience is for gamers.

  • This is an amazing phone and complains I see are from people who don't understand the device.

This is a beautifully crafted phone; the rectangular slab without curved edges; the no-camera bump on the back; the immersive screen devoid of a notch or punch-hole are what I like in it.

The screen is beautiful and has radiating colours. It is easily visible in very bright sunlight.

Performance-wise, this device is heads and shoulders above the competition. Screen response is excellent. Playing PUBG, CODM etc is a pleasure.

I got the Pro over the Pro+ cos the extra 1,500mAh battery is more important than the faster charging keeping in mind the 80W is no slouch. I gotta say a while day if phone use with long gaming sessions inbetween yet I end the day with well over 45% battery juice.

The rear cameras are amazing even in low-light conditions and I can't fault them much.

Sound is amazing and haptip feedback has been greatly improved compared to previous models.

My only complain is software update & specifically major update as news doing rounds is that we'll her only 1 major update (Android 15) which is pathetic from Nubia.

Like I said, many people "wrongly" complain about the device and it is absurd:

    1. The front camera is an Under Display Camera (UDC). The technology is still new and a work in progress (5th generation). Selfies will suck until the technology is perfected. So, if selfies are deal-breakers, avoid the device.

    2. Expecting water-resistance on a device with massive vents is ironic to say the least. This doesn't mean it can't survive water ingress. Several RedMagics have survived water but it isn't advisable.

    3. Needing bootlader unlock is one of the things that baffle me. People buy phones from companies known to lock BL and then complain about it. Probably the RM9P going forward will not be able to have BL unlocked.

It's a good phone for its user subtype.

For me, the phone has good specs and the rest is history; a phone that doesn't fall behind in its niche and even competes with phones that come after it.

    The Best Gaming Phone

Honestly, this phone can handle anything you throw at it, thanks to gravity X, you can play with keyboard and mouse, and with winlator I have played PC titles like GTA V smoothly, the screen has surprised me, one of the best I've seen, for watching movies or videos in HDR it's a gem.

Excellent smartphone, I recommended it to all my friends, so far...

Until I returned to the ice with it in my hands. I just "stuck" it into the original bumper for a while. As a result, it left a dent in the case, which completely destroyed the sensor and the left part of the screen. I do not recommend understanding :) Otherwise, the performance, screen, and communication range are top notch. I would like to separately note the excellent clarity of the sound (better than the 10 pro)

    Pros
    • Design, no cutouts or bulges
    • Sound - gun
    • Screen
    • Performance
    • Camera (for a phone without extinction)
    Cons
    • Translation: A bit lame in places, but not without some pearls.

What is a Ki score?
Ki is an automatic score based on the specifications and prices of devices. It is calculated using over 200 variables to rank smartphones, tablets and other devices from best to worst.
How do we calculate the Ki?

In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:

  • Design and screen
  • Hardware and performance
  • Camera
  • Connectivity
  • Battery

Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.

Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.

Does the Ki score change?

The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
