- A powerful smartphone built to handle different tasks that you throw at it.
Nubia Z70 Ultra
Design: Great size and an amazing screen space. A little top heavy, requiring some adjustments when mounting on gimbals.
Power: Featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with the Adreno GPU, it feels like I'm using a computer already. Capable of running any mobile applications easily, and can even run some computer games due to the sheer power of the SOC. Though pushing the phone too much will introduce overheating.
Camera: Triple back cameras on the phone.
{Main} Sony 50mp 35mm - An amazing F/1.6 camera, able to capture low-light scenarios with relative ease. As expected from Sony, the autofocus is fast when semi-holding down the built-in shutter button. I do notice some focus breathing but should be negligible at bright and sunny environments.
{Wide Angle} Omnivision 64mp 13mm - A macro camera, capable of capturing close up or wide shots. Great for everyday use and scenery photos. However, it does lose colors compared to the 35mm, but it shouldn't bother too much for casual photoshooters.
{Telephoto} Omnivision 70mm - Telephoto camera, great but often gets ruined by the AI adjustments when zoomed to the maximum. Retains good color and decent autofocus when locked at 70mm.
Battery: The all new Silicon-Carbon battery makes it's way to the smartphone world! 6150mAh of battery storage should suffice enough for an entire day of moderate use. However, when using the phone at intensive tasks (3D rendering, Gaming, Video), the battery drains quick just like any other phone.
Anyways, I would put more here but it's mostly nitpicks and niches that the general public wouldn't mind. One example would be the lack of Cine or ProRes Video Logging. No baked-in custom AI assistant by Nubia in the global model (as of the time of making this review). And the list continues.
Would I recommend this phone to anyone?
Definitely, it's a great Flagship for it's price. But there is still room for software upgrades by Nubia, so stay tuned for that!Pros- Battery

This is the first smartphone I've owned that I wouldn't change a thing about. Its processor stands out for its power compared to the same processors in other devices (3,120,100 points on Antutu). The camera is quite good, in fact, the best I've had on any smartphone. At night, it's a pleasure how well it captures low light. The sound is good, not top-notch, but more than enough for me. The battery lasts me over 24 hours, and I love the design; I think it's an elegant smartphone. It is quite large and somewhat heavy (220g), although it suits my large hands. The screen doesn't overexpose, and I find its size excellent (which I appreciate for gaming), and its 144Hz refresh rate makes games that take advantage of it incredibly smooth. The brightness is just right. Its CPU and GPU are more than capable of handling everything; the experience is perfect. The only thing that's a bit weak—but that doesn't bother me—is the front-facing hidden camera, which isn't great, but I hardly ever use it, unlike the rear cameras, which are very good. Having a dedicated camera button and a physical switch to select sound mode is a fantastic bonus. Frankly, I managed to get it on sale for €427 in November 2025, the 16GB/512GB model. I suppose it's because the Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 SoC has already been released, so the price has dropped, and now was the perfect time to grab it. For me, it's an amazing smartphone at its current price. For gaming, taking photos, and watching content, it's pure gold.

View answers - AutoA smartphone that is definitely worth it
I bought the Z70 2 weeks ago now, and I'm not disappointed. The negative points: It's a brick. Clearly, a big smartphone, heavy, and not the most practical if you have small hands. Another negative point, the sound, which is not great (but for someone like me who is always connected to a speaker or headphones, this has no impact). Finally, aesthetics: quite square, but it's a matter of taste. I don't like it too much. Now let's move on to the positive points: Photos wow: really, it's beautiful, the rendering is magnificent without retouching, it's very beautiful work. The power: it doesn't lag. Like never. It's a racing beast and I don't think I'll be limited for several years. The battery: I use it averagely, about 3-4 hours per day really. It lasts 2 full days and there is 40% battery left. This point is really appreciable! The price: well yes, we have to be honest, it does as well or even better than the flagships of the big brands, for half the price... The screen: good bridge too, it's clean, the rendering is good without pulling too much in the colors. The configurability: this word exists? I don't know. But the idea is there. Everything or almost everything is customizable, configurable as desired. I like to make my smartphone compatible with my habits, well there, I'm served. I modified everything, it's just great! And the OS is really nice, nothing too much!

Score
- 8.3 Design & Materials
- 8.5 Performance & Hardware
- 8.4 Camera
- 8.5 Connectivity
- 8.0 Battery
In this case, to determine the score we evaluate 5 general aspects:
- Design and screen
- Hardware and performance
- Camera
- Connectivity
- Battery
Once these 5 factors have been rated, we introduce the price variable. This means that any two devices with the same ratings get a different Ki score for quality vs price.
Even a device objectively worse than another may have a higher Ki score if it has a better price.
The Ki varies as time goes by. As new devices with better specifications enter the market the Ki score of older devices will go down, always being compensated of their decrease in price.
